I was skeptical about adding “magic drops” to my hair dye, but this stuff really helped cover those stubborn grays around my temples that usually refuse to cooperate. The color looked richer, lasted longer, and faded way less between touch-ups. I only needed a few drops mixed into my regular dye, so the bottle should last a while too. Bonus: my husband even noticed my hair looked “fresh from the salon,” which basically makes this product a miracle.

I love this stuff! It makes color take to my very stubborn greys better, and the color doesn't fade as fast after subsequent shampoos. For reference, I'm a dark blonde. I don't know how it would work for darker shades or vivids. I definitely recommend for dark blondes and lighter shades of blonde.

Gray Magic works great. Just add 10 drops per ounce of permanent hair color and your gray is covered! One bottle lasts a long time. I just decided to dye my hair after letting it fade to gray for 3 years. Not a gray in sight. Get it!

My hair dresser introduced this amazing product to me years ago and my dye resistant (it was red, doesn’t hold dye well) now gray hair wouldn’t hold color without it. Follow directions to add number of drops per total ounces of full hair dye and mix well. With any permanent dye product the color has fully stayed in my hair and doesn’t wash out. Without gray magic in a couple of weeks the color is fading and a couple more the dye is gone! When I dye my hair I absolutely won’t dye without this!

It didn’t help my color stick like the powder.

Not bragging but, I don't look my age. It's basically genetics. I'm Hawaiian, Filipino, Chinese and 5 other nationalities that tend to age well. The only thing that gives my age away is the stubbornly white hair at the edge of my jet black mohawk. Yes, I'm 46 with a mohawk. Trust me, I rock the hell out of it. No, it's not one of those punk rock, spiked in the air mohawks. My hair is naturally curly, so it's a soft, sexy version of mohawk. But a mohawk means the edges (front and sides) are highly visible, and the ribbon of white is a glaring neon sign advertising that I'm not in my 30's. And when I dye my hair, that edge of white starts showing again within a matter of days. Very annoying! Then I ran across this product. And holy crappasaurus rex! It totally works!! In fact, when I apply and comb through the white edges of my mohawk, I can see my hair absorb the blue-black dye like a sponge sucks up spilled ink. Instantly, the saturation is better and more vibrant. And when I rinse, there's less dye in water because more of it is in the hair shaft where I want it. Of course, only time will tell if it lasts longer. That's why I've only given it 4 stars. If you're reading this review and it has 5 stars, you'll know that it did last. *For reference, I used 12 drops per ounce of dye and rinsed with cool water. I also sprayed a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and water on my hair and scalp to neutralize the pH before using a non-sulfate conditioner. *UPDATE: Comparatively, with this product added to my hair dye, it lasts about 2 weeks before the white roots begin showing, which is a huge improvement, and is due simply to the fact that my hair grows pretty fast.

A few drops of this in my color significantly reduced my need to touch up as frequently as I used to. For context, I have thick brown-black hair that barely held on to colour for 2 washes, now I can go 7-8 washes or more between touch ups

It does seem to help cover gray hairs much better. However, it gives the hair a very red tone. I have hair that is cool or ash toned, and when coloring brown I have a tendency to go a bit brassy anyway. But this looks actually red. I will probably look for another solution.

Great product. Does what it claims. Helps to cover my stubborn grey hsir along the face line. Stubborn temples! You can use it with box colours too.
