DID THE JOB.
Seems to work well - I like to have the flip down shield, but some don't like one - and this one has none....... would have been nice to have a choice. But I guess more break without the shield and they sell more.

Spend your upgrade money on a new cartridge!
The included stylus did improve the sound on my DP 300f, and it was time for a belt change, so that was a nice bonus. However, I would recommend just splurging a few more bucks on an Ortofon Red cartridge upgrade, which LP Gear also carries, though I got mine pre-mounted on a red AT headshell from another vendor. Now *that* is a huge sonic improvement, probably largely because the Ortofon outputs a massive 5.5 mV, while the Denon cartridge generates a measly 2.5 mV. This latter number just doesn't pair well with most sound stages, which typically produce gain in the 36-40 dB range. This cartridge needs about 10+ dB more than that to generate an acceptable line level output. (Yes, yes, I know, you could just turn the volume up higher on your amp or receiver. But then you're also amplifying any unwanted hum and other artefacts.). So the upshot is, if you want a cheap upgrade, buy this. But for about $40-50 more, you can buy a massive upgrade. So to me, it wasn't worth it.
