Honestly, I found this to be so much fun to play around with. We ordered one for our 4 year old daughter, and I'm sure I've played with it way more than she has. First things first though, I would recommend getting a good set of rechargeable batteries. Something like the 2500mAh Duracell or Eneloops, or anything along those lines. Having said that, the batteries lasted a good long time, even when my daughter left the power on for days at a time. I am writing this from the perspective of someone who used to have Tamiya RC cars in the 80s, which would run out of batteries after about 10 minutes and take a day to recharge, so from that point of view this Kart seems to last forever! Controlling this Kart is easy and fun, as you'd expect. It works a little different depending on whether it's in standard mode of anti-gravity mode. When in standard mode, it works well on both hard floors and soft carpets, and it's nice and grippy and responsive. In anti-grav mode, you do need to stick to a hard floor as it'll struggle to move on anything even slightly soft. That's not something I'd consider a negative or a design flaw, as they'd probably have to design actually anti-grav to get round it. I would also recommend using this in a good sized space too. It is very very nippy and whizzes around very quickly, so if you're using it in a smaller room you might find yourself crashing quite often. But it also seems very robust, and we've had no problems after banging it into solid items of furniture. And at the end of the day, this Kart is just fun to mess around with. My daughter loves it, but I'd probably say that I love it more! Heck, I'm just a big kid at heart anyway! And trying all the little tricks is lots of fun too, doing wheelies and donuts and all sorts. Overall, definitely something I'd recommend for kids, and fun for those of us who are still big kids too. I just wish they had a full range of all the Mario Kart characters, it'd be great to get some proper races going with a few of these.

The batteries that came inside the car were all corroded and leaking - had to clean it all out and replace to get it working plus you needed extra batteries for remote.

Batteries corroded and despite cleaning battery compartment and several different batteries used, did not work. Remote did not connect to car, red light just kept flashing. Extremely disappointed.

Brilliant toy,, out of all his birthday toys this was his favourite his dad and 6 year old sister wouldn't give my 4year old grandson his Mario Kart back,, he loves it

I bought this for my sons birthday. It wouldn't work because the batteries had some dirty water or corrosion in the compartment. I ordered another and the same thing in the battery compartment. Luckily I managed to clean the one out and it's working but I had to replace all the batteries. As for the actual car it is awesome and my son loves it. Just let down by the battery issue

Great toy

These are absolutely fantastic, bought them for my nephew and we played with the Mario and Luigi ones for hours, had a great time. Definitely recommend for kids to play with. Would have loved something like this when I was young.

This is a solid well made toy, it’s great fun to use and my 6 year old loves it, you need a bit of space as it’s faster than you expect this kind of toy to be also a little loud, works best on smooth floors but can handle rough terain as well. I was hesitant when buying as I read some reviews about it breaking, but it has taken some heavy use and serious crashes and seems rock solid. Some people mentioned wires or aerials breaking and having to get refunds but as far as I can see there is no aerial on the car that can break. When you open the packaging for the first time there is a wire connecting the car to the controller but this is just so the car wheels move in the packaging without batteries so people can ‘try me’ test in shops. You need to remove the wire completely and put 6 Aa batteries in the car. Reading the reviews I wonder if some people are just trying to use the car in demo mode with wire attached and when it falls off they think the car is broken maybe, never actually putting batteries in it.

Superbe voiture radio guidée, solide, très nerveuse et dynamique. Le seul hic est les nombre de piles (6piles LR6 pour la voiture et 2 LR6 pour la commande) mais vous pouvez jouer longtemps avec. Des programmes sympa, notamment avec la fonction dite '' anti-gravité''... j'adore

The price is usually higher, but this option is worth the money. It’s also easy for kids to control.

Be careful with this seller, i bought this item 3 times, all of them with the same problem. Rust in the battery contact, i even suspect they sent the same faulty product over and over again. Avoid as much as possible. I did give 1 start because 0 is not possible

It was fairly good in size and the child was very happy to receive it .
