Chromalux Lumiram Full Spectrum 3 Way 50/100/150 Watts Frosted Light Bulb

Review: This is a good bulb - pay attention to the wattage - For some reason many 3-way lamps are not made to use the 50-100-150 light bulb, which I find annoying because I like good bright light. I have used this bulb for years because I like the full-spectrum light it gives. I have found it to last for months or even more than a year with regular use. I actually came back to this site looking for the 30-70-100 watt version which is what more of my lamps use and it doesn't seem to be available anymore. I try to use LED bulbs but for many situations the light is just not as good - they still need work. I would like to add for the people who are finding that the bulb is only giving one level of light - that light bulb is BROKEN! Get your money back. These bulbs usually do have one filament that burns out first and then you have a one way bulb but I find a use for that until it's all burned out. Also, look to see what wattage your lamp takes - many, if not most 3-ways do not use this wattage and it can be dangerous to use them in those lamps.

**Q: what does the 3 way mean? it is not explained on the box. just 50 / 100 / 150 watts**
A: It means this bulb was designed to be used in a 3-Way Lamp Socket. A socket made so that it can be turned for low, medium or high settings.

**Q: I think i have read all i can on the page but does this bulb get extremely hot? I have an inexpensive lamp with stupid plastic shades**
A: It depends on what your lamp is rated for. You want to make sure that you use a bulb with the same ratting as your lamp. If not, it could get too hot, not shine properly or even wear prematurely.

**Q: Can i use this with a Type A 3-way lamp that is 100watts max and just keep it in the 50 or 100 setting?**
A: Hello you have to find the right lamp and the right lightbulb because I bought the wrong lightbulb and it only lets up one part you need a three way switch on your lamp which I have mine but I bought the wrong lightbulb and those lightbulbs are very expensive so double check before you buy

 I bought these bulbs before ans The Blues Busters and the delivery man dropped the box at my door ( a very light weight pkg ). I assume at least 1 delivery was broken due to drop off. Love the bulbs other wise.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mood Booster in a Bulb

This bulb is a lifesaver. My office is cave-like and windowless, and it had been taking a toll on my energy, mental health, and sleeping habits. I bought this bulb with some trepidation after reading the mixed reviews (it's a lot of money to spend if the bulb is going to blow out one week in), and have had it in my desk lamp for about two months now with no issues. As some reviewers have mentioned (here and in reviews for other Lumiram bulbs on Amazon), the bulb does tend to get a bit hot, but it's not noticeable to me until I go to turn the lamp off at the end of the day - it doesn't seem to make much of an impact on my overall office temperature. In terms of its ability to alleviate the issues I'd been experiencing last winter, the bulb has performed very well. Two days after sticking it in the lamp, I had more energy and was less grumpy (to the point that some of my coworkers noticed and commented on it). I don't think it did much for the sleeping issues, but two out of three ain't bad. I liked this bulb so much that I bought others for four other lamps - another in my office, and three more at home. I don't notice the effect as much anymore, but the grumpiness and fatigue don't seem to have returned. To me, that means this bulb has done what it claims to do, and I don't think I can ask for anything more than that. If you're having problems with SAD and/or just have a dreary windowless office like mine, you should seriously consider getting one (or more) of these bulbs. I have no idea how they do it, but they work well for their stated purpose!
