Excellent textbook
I started reading this as a back-up for another CCRN review book. I like the mini-case studies in each chapter. Very helpful. It is also serving as a great reference book for other diseases not listed on the exam test blueprint.

Fantastic. Used this and the flash cards for my exam. Just realize that the chapter questions and the exam questions have a different difficulty level. It says that before the first practice exam.

Well written
I just switched from MICU to CVICU and it’s a great quick reference for all of the drips I’m not used to.

Awesome book, but only 4 stars for NOT supporting continuous scrolling.
REALLY a great book! But for some odd reason, this most recent edition does NOT support continuous scrolling. The previous edition does. Why does it matter? It's nice to not have graphic information chopped into two pages. With continuous scrolling, you can always see it all on one page. Take a case study where a bunch of hemodynamic values are laid out. It would be nice to be able to view all the data on a single page and not have to flip back and forth, right? It's a big enough of a deal to me, that I'd recommend just getting the older edition just to have the continuous scrolling. I've got both editions on Kindle and in print, and I don't think it's a big game changer to not have the latest one. In terms of content, the book is fantastic! I'm new to ICU nursing, and it's been of tremendous help!

Ya girl was able to pass with flying colors!! I did decent on everything....except the moral and ethical things. And I blame that on the trauma of bedside nursing and families torturing loved ones. I also blame covid. And my unhinged mouth... any hoo, whoopty woo, I passed with about a month of studying from this book!

Great book! Very helpful for a new critical care nurse or an experienced nurse to just brush up on info. Great resource to have.

Comprehensive, breaks down content from basic to advanced. This my go to when I want to study in depth. Definitely recommend.
