I'm confused which type i need. i have straight hair and it's cut short in a pixie. i just want softness & some hold -no spiking. can someone help?

Yes, it kinda depends on how fine or coarse your hair is. I suggest trying the moving rubber in either the brown jar or the grey one. Both dry to a flexible, rubber-like softness, definitely not a hard spike. The purple and pink jars are a little softer hold. The green jar smells the best, but has the weakest hold of all the rubbery varieties.

Do you have to use this on dry hair? Does it work if you put on wet hair and then blow it dry?

Personally, I think it works best when applied to slightly damp hair, "towelled dry" hair. This lets it permeate the hair more evenly. You can blow-dry it very gently 〜 I don't recommend brushing or combing the hair while drying since this will defeat the purpose of this produce. That would ruin the rubbery feel and appearance that it's designed to give.

My preferred hair wax for stiff hair

This Gatsby Spiky Edge wax works impressively well on my stubbornly stiff hair that usually refuses to cooperate with anything short of industrial glue. The texture is soft and easy to work with, spreading smoothly without feeling like I’m smearing frosting on my scalp. It gives a nice controlled shine – not “oily fry cook” shine, but just enough to make your hair look alive and intentional. The scent is a surprisingly pleasant blend between apple and lychee, giving off strong vibes of “I showered today,” which is always a plus. It’s not sticky or tacky once styled, and despite the solid hold, it washes out with zero drama at the end of the day – no aggressive scrubbing or existential crises in the shower required. The volume it gives is impressive too, making my hair look thicker without clumping. Overall, this is my go-to when I want to look like I put effort into my hair without actually putting in effort. Highly recommended.
