**Q: Does anyone hear a click even when it is not plugged?**
A: I have a different Kettle but am considering this one because it will accept less water. Mine clicks once after it cools down. Also found this on the web: "When you turn off your electric kettle and remove the water, the element will start to cool. The cooling process will result in the shrinking of an element and that will cause a clicking sound."

Replaced my Ovente that decided not to turn on one day. I love the simplicity of this kettle, love that you can see the water level and love the speed at which it heats water to boiling. A generous 1.7L, a sleek stainless steel look, and fast boiling (I always fill it to capacity, but it is still quick). If you don't want a lot of bells and whistles (it does have auto shut off) - this is a good kettle at a good price.
