What a lovely discovery this little gadget has been. I purchased it prior to me leaving on a trip to Cyprus. It worked beautifully. It has the option to use as Converter or as an Adapter. Then this past November I went to Italy and brought it with me. How wonderful that I could use it for everything. I used it to charge my IPad, my IPhone, toothbrush, my old Clarisonic brush. I found in the past, when buying those small adapter plugs in the country I was visiting, they would work for certain things, like my IPhone but not for other small gadgets. This little guy, turned out to be a really big help. Planning on going on another trip this year, let’s see how it does. :)

I wanted to power an older US appliance, one that would not run on anything but 110 volt. By contrast, most newer appliances can handle both the 110 volt of the US, and the 220 volt of Europe and the Middle East, but not this appliance. This particular appliance was a high-wattage device too, and I was a little concerned that this small adapter could handle it. No worries! Be aware that there is a switch on this adapter that changes it from a pass-thru device at 220 volt, to a converter that brings the voltage down to 110. Make sure this switch is engaged when running a US appliance (like mine) that requires 110 volt!

Though there were certainly other options on the market, I opted for this one given the loudly advertised 2000 Watt allowance. Sadly for me, I had to fly all the way to Greece to find out that my very standard (and confirmed 1800 Watt) hair dryer would not work. Maybe it was my dryer? you ask. So did I. That's why I tried my friend's mini hair iron which was *also* listed at 1800 Watts... MAX. Confirmed from the manufacturer and written on the mini curler. No dice. Both products snap crackled and POPPED before completely shutting themselves down. The settings were all correct, the instructions had all been followed. Save your money, because unfortunately for me, I wasn't even able to return the converter given that my trip ended right after the return window closed.

I used this voltage converter for a trip to Israel in October 2019. It works very well and was the easiest to use of any I've ever had. In hindsight, I wish I'd either gotten a couple of them, or bought something with the ability to plug in several devices at the same time. Otherwise, I am pleased with my purchase.

We’ve had this for more than 2 years, it is a quality product as it is used at least once a day. It works well and adapts easily to the plug socket and had no problem with the voltage conversion. I use this for a few items I’ve brought online from the US. Would recommend

This is a great travel adapter suitable for the UK, Europe, and China. I have been traveling a lot and every time I have to buy an adapter, but they are only suitable for each independent country. Those adapters are even more expensive than this one. I remember the time I went to the UK and bought an adapter for 30 GBP. But that one has only UK socket pins. This adapter is in great value. And it feels very good quality. It's also easy to use, just push the button on the side of the adapter to switch between different socket

I think this is the very best adapter that money can buy; not only does it offer many options which covers nearly every country that you may be traveling to, but it is also a very well made, substantial, heavy duty piece of equipment. I spent a lot of time researching which adapter would be the best one available, and hands down, this is it! Please don’t waste your time looking for other options. I’ve done the research for you!

I purchased this voltage adapter to use my favorite US hair dryer for my European trip. My Panasonic hair dryer is a physical switch-based hair dryer (a so-called electric device supported by the seller's claim), but I noticed the hair dryer is underperforming when being used with this converter under 220V 50Hz. I noticed that the hair dryer's fan speed is stuck at the lowest setting no matter where I set the speed switch, causing the air to be hotter than usual and lengthened drying times. My theory is that the US hair dryer is rated at 60Hz while the EU electricity is at 50Hz (this converter does not convert the frequency), also the hair dryer may use internal electronics to go from the lowest speed to higher speed settings, which somehow isn't compatible with this converter. Unfortunately, I had to return this converter and go with a dedicated 220V 50Hz hair dryer for future travels to the EU.
