How tall do they grow?

Started mine indoors I March. PL anted outside in May. They got 15" tall; higher than expected, but they were stunning and the Monarchs loved them.

Are these edible marigolds?

Some marigolds are edible and some are poisonous. I checked the edibility of the crackerjack marigold and this is what I found "Crackerjacks marigolds are just one of the many edible varieties of annual flowers." You can confirm at any nursery; I am not a gardener; the seeds we bought were a gift for a friend who was trying new flowers in her garden.

What zones are these good for growing in?

I understand the marigolds like warmth and bloom well summer through Fall; they don't like frost but love the sun. We are not gardeners; the seeds were part of a gift to another. She said they didn't fare well as she had too much shade in her yard. In checking garden sites, I found Marigolds grow well in planting zones 2 – 11, and they will have a longer blooming season in zones 10 or higher, where temperatures don’t dip close to freezing.
