Parker Jotter Originals Ballpoint Pen | Classic Red Finish | Medium Point | Blue Ink

I was fed up of getting disposable ball point pens, so got this pen! Very well built, the click action is amazing and robust. It does differ from the Rymans one I purchased - although they are bother PARKER brand and red, they differ in design slightly (this one has a metal tip, whereas the Rymans version does not). Both use quality Ball Point refills, But this one has a better clicking mechanism, whereas the Rymans one stopped clicking correctly shortly after using it for a week. BUT this one still goes strong after a month of daily intensive use! I highly recommend and would buy it instantly again - if I lose this one! I love this pen. Good weight, nice to write with and this one is well built! It does not come in a gift box, but this one is not designed to be gift with a presentation box. If your friend/Recipient is not fussed with the minimal Parker Packaging - just gift them this pen, as IT's a GREAT PEN!

It’s a few years I’m using Parker pens, High quality, nice metal pen. Easy to hold and comfortable to write. It looks and feels much more expensive than what you pay. It’s great for gifts and for your own use. Just pay attention the ink is blue, so if you need black, you need to buy replacements too. High Value for the money

The thing is, these pens are not glitzy or super slick, but they are just good. The long-life refill's ink flows nicely – no stuttering. The on/off mechanism feels very satisfying. There is an effortless simplicity to they work and feel. Perfection, really. I prefer black ink, but most of these come with blue, which is my only gripe. So I changed the refill to a black one, and I'm happy. I bought this Parker Jotter to replace one from the 80s which I lost. The new one is the same great quality, even though there have been some design revisions, and the new pen, in a tiny way, is not quite so 'sharp' looking, but, well, I'm just glad you can still get this classic.

Arrived in 1 day after order. Pen was of the usual Parker excellent standard and the gift was very much appreciated by the recipient. Packaging was excellent.

I have always liked parker pens and this one is nice and comfortable to hold, the main body is plastic but still decent quality it does not feel plasticky when holding it. It writes smoothly and refills are easily available so no having to keep buying new pens.

Great value ball point pen, only disappointment I didn't realise it was blue ink. However other than that its a great pen to use and usual build quality, however as it is the lower range it will be interesting to see how long the plastic lasts as it seems cheap (however I was expecting that)

While not a serious collector, I own and enjoy a variety of fine writing instruments. I often shop websites as well as brick-and-mortar stores for a new pen or mechanical pencil to try out. I've owned Parker Jotter pens before. I remember a metal-barrelled one I did not like because the grip was tiresome. I also had one of these plastic-barrelled ones but don't remember using it or where it's gone off to. When shopping, I often came across the Jotter pens. Because of previous experience and the notion that a $10 pen would be neither disposable nor special, I just overlooked them. Recently, during another browsing session, I again encountered some Jotter pens and they came into better focus: legendary status, simple beauty, good reviews, compatible with a world of refill options, and a price that would allow me to carry the pen without the anxiety of losing it. Upon receiving the pen, I was delighted by the writing experience. The grip on the plastic barrel is quite comfortable and suitable for extended use. The Quink cartridge makes for smooth contact with the paper. I may occasionally switch out to a gel refill for darker print. I like the heavy click mechanism and the fact that the plunge button is sprung even after the pen tip is extended. The metal ring on the tip of the barrel is a good idea; it will prevent the hole from wearing or stretching which would make it sloppy around the cartridge tip. The 5" length of the pen is also welcome. It conveys a "cuteness" and the clip will fully engage in any shirt pocket. Bottom line: my red Parker Jotter is now one of my favorite carry pens.
