This item has a good strong clip and a cord that will stretch for pens of different calibers, and can also serve to hang the clipboard on a wall hook (I am running out of room in my home office, and desk clutter can be eliminated with a well-deserved hanging.) Appreciated the range of colors offered.

We use this to bring drawing supplies along on trips to pretty much anywhere there may be a long wait-- long car rides, restaurants with a wait list, etc. It holds little notebooks and has enough room for pencils, pens, crayons, and stickers. It doesn't take up much space, so it's not disruptive to pull it out whenever we need an offline activity for kids. It's a stable base for drawing anywhere.
