Best shoes for working on concrete.
This is my fifth pair of gdefy that I've purchased. Pros: exceptional comfort, only shoes that help relieve discomfort from standing on concrete all day. My arches are falling and these help tremendously with pain. I have wide feet, these have never made them feel compressed, tight and never caused blisters. Plenty of toe box space. If there is too much space, they come with another set of insoles to adjust for that. No break in period, comfort right out of the box. Not completely hideous like some orthopedic shoes. These came with an extra pair of laces. Enough ventilation that your feet don't sweat wearing them through the day, but not so much that they freeze during winter. Year round comfort. These also come with another set of insoles for pronation. Wish they had insoles for suppination, but i have my own adjusters i add to mine. Cons: these typically only last me about a year, as i tend to live in them and abuse them. For someone who isn't hard on their shoes, they'll last longer. Price is higher than I'd like, but well worth it for the relief and comfort. They're still less money than some of their competitors shoes. I actually much prefer gdefy over hoka.

Unhappy and why regarding this product
These were a gift which I was excited to have received. They were very comfortable, although they did take some getting used to because of the way the arch support is made. However, I was very surprised, disappointed, and angry with the quality (?) They were very expensive. At the change of season, they were put aside in my closet. When spring came, the material between the outside sole and the shoe itself had deteriorated. It had simply dried up. My contact with the company was nonproductive. I ended up throwing them away. Will never buy this brand again. Very disappointed in product, value, and their customer service.

Not walking shoes-as described
Horrible design and support. I have worn Gravity Defyer shoes for 6 years. Had to purchase a different design because the ones I have had in the past have retired style. I purchase a new pair every year because of how much I stand. These are advertised as great walking shoes but they are so uncomfortable after 4 hours. Also-the netting in the outer shoe broke down and holes developed in less than 2 months where they bend around the toes. I reached out to the company for advice but they never responded.

Great shoe using included features
I am constantly on the lookout for comfortable shoes at a reasonable price. I have problematic feet, high arches , narrow with significant plantar fasciitis isssues. I am a nurse so am on my feet for long hours. Added to that I have arthritis in my hip that can be pretty painful. So far ,MBT shoes have been the only shoes that keep my foot pain under control. They are pretty expensive though so I am always on the lookout for something more reasonable. I saw these The grey with pink version was marked down. Not my favorite look but the price was good. I ordered my usual size and the length is accurate. The shoe itself is pretty wide and with the original insole too loose and non supportive. I traded the insole for the orthopedic set included and that was much better. I still found them to be too loose to walk. Comfortably for a distance so then added th yellow sub insoles that were also included with the purchase. I also relaxed th shoes so I coul tighten them up a bit. That did th trick! Great fit really comfortable able to take the dogs for a two mile walk with no foot pain and much less hip discomfort.

Life changing
My next order will be half a size smaller, though I feel the initial higher size was needed because of how swollen my feet were. These reviews that are mentioning how life changing these shoes are real. I had severe plantar fasciitis start about ten years ago and a bone spur, the accommodations in how I was walking plus weight gain (because limited walking/mobility) it evolved into a severe Achilles tendinitis on both legs. Walking more than ten steps was horrible. My kids are growing and I feel as though I’ve missed so much; we even moved homes so I wouldn’t have to crawl up/down the stairs anymore. It sounds so foolish but I never wanted to shell out for these type of shoes. My husband got these for me, along with two pairs of Kailu step in sandals (one for outdoor and one for the house). Between these changes, I got to walk without pain. It was so strange…. It’s been YEARS since there wasn’t a ripping pain in my legs while walking. The advice that there is some weird cramping is true; compared to the other pain that it relieves it’s welcome and a VERY small price to pay. Mostly, it’s my feet that are adjusting to using the proper places again (is my guess). Right out of the box they feel so different than anything else. I wore them around the house for 2 days and wore them to work today, no concerns whatsoever.

Disappointed
Was pretty dead set on these based on the positive reviews & desperate for pain relief. Overall I’d say I’m pretty disappointed. They feel pretty great and do seem to help in alleviating foot pain. What I didn’t care for was this style in particular seems to run wide. There’s almost too much room in the tow box & I have to keep them drawn fairly tight. They aren’t comfortable around the ankle until they’re more broken in so my typical no-show socks were not a good combination. It’s advertised that you get these alternative insoles as well. I started out with the “corrective” pair and while I found them to coincide with comfort, as far as activity they were too “slippery” for my feet. I’m assuming it’s just the top material they're comprised of but I found it enough of a nuisance to switch them out for a basic OTC insert that I’ve liked in the past. Overall, I’ve had these for 6 weeks & they’re falling apart. I’m my opinion they cost way too much to be doing that. I’ll continue wearing them because they DO seem to help with foot pain but the fact that I’m supergluing my $135 shoes is unsat. As far as customer service directly with the company they’re extremely lacking. I had an experience in which I bought another style (prior to these falling apart) and had to exchange for a different size. Their website wouldn’t work or load correctly to file the “claim” online so I sent an email to their generic mailbox given along with filling out & returning the exchange form. About a week after they were received back I finally called asking for a status. I was told that my email was confusing & they didn’t understand what I needed to exchange for (it was clearly indicated on the returned form as I’m capable of following basic instructions) but also didn’t reach out to contact me in any way. I was told that to make up for it they’d send out my replacement as a “rush” and I should have it in 3-5 business days. Asked for an email confirmation of such & never received anything. Called again another 8 days later asking what’s going on & was told the replacement order got “hung up” somewhere & again, to make up for it, I’d have them sent as a high priority rush & would receive in 3 business days. Again, also asked for an email confirming as such but received some type of nonsense that seemed to be for internal use only. After these 3 business days I’ve finally received an acknowledgment of receiving my original pair (they’ve had them for almost a month) in addition to “here’s tracking information for your replacement”. It took those 3 days for them to even be shipped when they should have been received. I did actually get tracking information this time, and they’re set to arrive in another 5 days. My initial review would have been around 4-4.5 stars based solely on the product. Now that they’re falling apart after such a short amount of time I’d drop to 3.5-4, again they do feel good to wear. After the experience with their “always pleasant customer service” I can’t go any higher than 3 tops. I’d recommend shopping around for someone that delivers an all around good experience with customer service from the very beginning as well as a good quality product that lasts. When it comes to “good” footwear when you have problematic feet, it’s a given you’re making an investment & can’t get away with anything “cheap”. I just would have hoped that for $135 these would have lasted at least 6 months or so before falling apart. Hope my honest opinion helps in your purchase decision.

Awesome shoes
I do not usually leave reviews, but this pair of shoes are s9 comfortable. I am able to stand on the for l9ng 0eri9ds of time and my feet do not get tired or hurting by end of the day. I have broken down feet with no arches, al9ng with a scar on back of my heel from Achilles tendon surgery and it bothers me when I wear shoes, but not with this shoe. This pair of shoes comes with 3 types of insoles 1 for comfort fit, 1 for corrective fit and the other incase foot slides in shoes. So far having these shoes for over a week, I have only tried the comfort fit and it may run a tad big but my feet do not slide around in them so I have not had to use the extra fit insole. Also like the idea that these shoes make me feel like I have ankle support even though they do not come above mu ankles. My new favorite pair of shoes!

Great so far
I was born with a rare form of clubbed foot, so I have had issues for years when it comes to my feet. I did have experimental surgery with my feet as a teen, so it did help my feet a lot, but I have developed plantar fasciitis. It makes my feet hurt at the end of the day, so I’ve been looking for a shoe that helps with my heel pain. I had these sneakers a couple of days before I headed to Universal Studios with my family. Pro’s: 1. At the end of the day my heels did not hurt (we stood in two hour long lines to get on a ride, as well as walking around) so the fact that I didn’t have any heel pain was fantastic. 2. It’s a stiff shoe, so it does support your feet, but it’s not too stiff where it’s difficult to walk. I was able to walk very well in these. Con’s: 1. My toes were really sore at the end of the day, so I think these shoes run small, or they aren’t open enough at the toe to give you enough room to spread your toes. I am a size 10 in women, so if I were you I would go a half size up (10.5 for me next time), so when I order me another pair of these I will order a half size up to see if that helps.
