Extremely THIN great value monitor with tiny bezels that look great next to my Macbook. Works just by plugging in. Can be used without a separate power supply , so it's convenient for travel or working from a cafe. At home I have it powered (charger & cables provided) to keep my laptop a little cooler. Image quality is good, especially considering the price, and brightness/colours are fine for coding, documents, web browsing and other non-design uses. Ideal for gaming with high refresh rate Kickstand is very sturdy and screen has rubber pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide. It doesn't take up much desk space but I plan to mount it (VESA compatible) on my monitor arm. I consider this as a great second screen to use for home/work, with the added option for it to be portable since it is so flat.

This is a fantastic 1080p monitor that gives you options to power it using a single USB-C cable connected to your laptop to deliver power and data or use an additional USB-C cable through an outlet to solely deliver power. If you opt for the former, the monitor will be dimmer since the single USB-C cable is providing power and data, so your best experience is definitely going to be when you have the second USB-C cable to deliver power. The monitor itself is lightweight so it's quite easy to carry it around (recommend you use a case) and even fit in a backpack along with your laptop to take it with you on the go. The stand is built-in, so it gives you a quick and easy way to stand the monitor up for it to be used. With all this, the build quality on this is very good. For the monitor performance, the color and brightness representation is great for a portable monitor and text was mostly easy to read, with the exceptions of some Webex meetings that involved very tiny text which is just the nature of a 1080p monitor for which their 4k monitors would address. There is a myriad of settings you can play around with whether that's contrast, brightness, enabling other modes to get the monitor to display to your preference. Also, I want to call out the quick responsive customer service. I did have an intermittent issue that caused the screen to go black and flicker, so I reached out to them via email. They responded within a few hours, and I was able to work with them on some basic troubleshooting. After the basic troubleshooting didn't work out, they made it right very quickly by just offering to send me replacement and avoid all the remaining hoops of troubleshooting. I got the replacement in just a couple of days, and it's been working great for me since. The product is great and the customer service is top notch, and I would have no hesitation buying from this brand again as they stand behind their products.

This is the first time I've ever purchased a "portable" monitor and I am more than impressed! Mainly, what I wanted to use it for was to watch "TV" in bed for example as I don't like having a real TV in my room. For this purpose I would say it works decently, as from what I see, it needs to have it's own power supply (my 12" Retina Macbook was unable to run it by itself off of the USB C port), but I look forward to trying it with smaller devices like phones/tablets. Regardless, it works fine for this since I have gotten a longer USB C cable for power. The design is very sleek, I love that it doesn't have any branding on the front and has very thin bezels. The image quality is very impressive for a monitor in this range. I am pretty picky when it comes to panel quality, and for the price, this exceeds my expectations. I'm currently typing this on my MacBook Pro while connected and streaming an episode of a show and it's working wonderfully. The speakers are to be expected, kind of whatever, but I'm appreciative they are included at all! They are fine for the occasional TV show, and the 3.5mm headphone jack or BT headphones solve the issue no problem. I love the size of the screen and the kickstand seems durable and sturdy. Even next to my 15" laptop, the extra real-estate will come in handy and makes for an awesome dual monitor setup while working; not just for media consumption as anticipated. Shout out for including a mini display to HDMI cable, and two USB-C cables in the box. Overall very satisfied, and I'm sure the gaming version is even better for those that require a bit more of a gaming monitor, but for me, the price/value on this monitor is perfect! I like this monitor for having a normal HDMI and not just a HDMI mini, it's slim and very portable! Thing is it doesn't have a case, I didn't know I could get a free case until the company messaged me about how I like my product, they pointed me in the direction to get a free case by emailing the customer support email on the back of the instructions of the product and gave me a PDF version in the message for my convenience which was nice, after emailing the support email, I got a response quickly about how to get my free case, which is to provide an address, and in addition to the free case as a separate offer in the same email, to be in their VIP club to try out other products. I declined the second offer as I have too much stuff already that I don't want to add to the pile, and expressed that I am only interested in the free case. There was no response after that until about two days and I was told that they had a weekend that they came back from. It was a little misleading as the page the email was listed on said it was 24hrs, (picture in this review), immediately they said they sent the free case that will come within two days and apologized for not responding sooner because of their weekend, so that was nice. I gave this product 4 stars because of the little bit of a hassle to get the free case, if you're going to have a free case, just include it in the product box! The other monitor I had and returned from a different company had a free case included and I liked that, I returned the other monitor because it only had HDMI mini and it advertised that it had HDMI not specifying mini only! The monitor from UPERFECT, when I first turned it on had a brighter spot on it near the top right, but quickly paned out as I played my game. (It was probably cases by the monitor before shipping being stored in a position not natural for the screen to handle before turning it on). The sound is fair, it does have a headphone jack, I just let the sound come from the monitor's speakers when playing my game. Over all I feel it's a good purchase and great for a gaming personal space!

NOTE: This is a review for the "UPERFECT Portable Monitor 18.5 inch 100HZ". Many reviews on this product page reference other UPERFECT portable monitors and as such don't align with the features of this monitor. For starters, this monitor does not come with a fold-over tablet-style cover that converts to a stand. Instead, it has an integrated kickstand, which is higher quality (more on that below). As such, this 18.5 monitor does not come with a cover at all. If you plan to take it in a suitcase, you'll probably want to get something to wrap around it. I bring this up, simply because the description of this product does not say it has a cover but many questions/answers and reviews from Amazon contributors say that it does. This, again, is because many reviews and Q&A on this page reference different monitors that do have that cover. I'm reviewing the product as-described by UPERFECT... I'm not docking it for not having a cover, because they don't advertise it as such. Cover - Is the lack of a cover for this 18.5 a big deal? For me, I do need a cover. However, this is such a great monitor at a reasonable price that having to find a way to protect it in-transit is a minor and acceptable trade-off. 18.5 - Wow. This is a game-changer for me. I used to use a similar (different brand) 15.6 portable monitor. That's been great when I am traveling for work, because I have the type of job where it's a major drag to try to get anything done on a single laptop screen. The extra space on this monitor makes doing work from a desk in a hotel that much better. Brightness - My old (other brand) 15.6 was fairly dim. White pages looked pretty yellow. I made that work and it was fine. But this 18.5 monitor can go very bright, honestly, I think it's brighter than my laptop screen. Kickstand - The integrated kickstand on the 18.5 is vastly superior to the convertible cover-stand concept in most other portable monitors. The kickstand is solid and provides a wide range of angle setups. This is a big improvement over the tablet-style convertible cover/stand, which only provides one fixed angle. VESA Mounting - This is a nice feature, allowing this 18.5 monitor to be used in a home office as a third monitor, including vertically, and then easily taken down for travel when needed. This effectively expands the uses for this monitor. Ports - I also note that the USB-C and Mini HDMI ports are on the left side of this 18.5 monitor. Many others have them on the right. I always use my travel monitor on the right side of my laptop (to preserve my laptop screen as the 'home' with the portable monitor extending to the right). To me, this is the logical and natural configuration. Having the ports on the left of the portable monitor is much better. Extended/Duplicated Displays - Using Windows 10, my other (different brand) 15.6 potable monitor is unable to be duplicated to an external display. However, this 18.5 portable does that perfectly. In preparation for this review, I did a test to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Explanation: When I'm on the road, sometimes I need to connect to a larger projector or TV in a conference room via HDMI. In this setup, I have my laptop connected to the portable monitor and the TV or projector connected via HDMI. What I want and expect is to be able to setup my display settings so that my portable monitor in front of me on the table is duplicated onto the TV/projector that everyone in the room can see. This 18.5 monitor can support that setup. My other (different brand) monitor could not. I'm sure most can, but this one for-sure can. Bottom line: I'm very pleased with this UPERFECT Portable Monitor 18.5 inch 100HZ.

My first experience with UPERFECT has been tremendous! My primary use case was going to be as a gaming monitor for a Nintendo Switch 2. Unfortunately, the firmware of the initial batch of these monitors doesn’t seem to instruct the Switch 2 of all the possible resolutions and refresh rates via HDMI. The result is the resolution is locked at 480p. I contacted UPERFECT support about the issue and they were very upfront and honest about the issue (Thank you, Sophia!). They acknowledged that they had not updated the firmware on the first batch of these monitors resulting in the resolution issue via HDMI. They immediately offered to refund the full amount and said that I could keep the monitor. They are also going to inform me when the batch of updated monitors are available. They were also prepared enough to send me a link to the firmware update and instructions on how it’s performed. I haven’t been able to get the Windows based firmware flasher to work on my Mac, even from a Windows 11 virtual machine running in Parallels, but I realize there may be too many hardware discrepancies to make that happen. Since I have the monitor in hand anyway, I decided to test it for other uses. I set it up as an extended display on my Mac, which was incredibly easy. With a USB C connection, the monitor was immediately recognized and was capable of its highest resolution and refresh rate. This connection was made on my M1 MacBook Air, which doesn’t even display at 120Hz on the built in display, yet this monitor ran perfectly at that refresh rate with 4K resolution. It made it obvious that the built in display ran at a slower rate. The monitor is bright and the colors really stand out. I also tried it hooked up via HDMI on an Apple TV, which will force a resolution and refresh rate. Again, amazing 4K picture at 60Hz. To summarize: I’ve never been more impressed by a company’s honesty and willingness to make things right, and by a product that really didn’t work for my intended use. I can’t wait until I’m able to purchase this exact monitor with the updated firmware!

I love this UPERFECT 18.5" monitor! The touchscreen is super responsive, and the large screen size paired with the built-in 180° kickstand makes it a breeze to use anywhere. Powering it is versatile—depending on your setup, you can either power it with a single USB-C cable directly from your laptop or use an additional power source when using HDMI. It came with all the necessary cords, including the HDMI to Type-C setup. Excellent second monitor for travel and productivity!

This is such a great device. I purchased it primary to use for my Nintendo Switch. I originally needed a smaller TV for my office to game on. I found this—and not only could I use it for my Switch, but also for my iPhone, iPad, Android devices, and even as another monitor for my computer. It is powered by a USB-C cable (included, as well as a power adaptor), and also comes with another USB-C cable, and an HDMI to Mini-HDMI Cable. It has ports for all three, as well as built in speakers, a headphone jack, and a multi-purpose toggle-wheel for use as the settling selector. It works almost perfectly on all counts with only a few smaller drawbacks. For my Switch: I have it hooked up via a 3rd party dock by use of the Mini-HDMI cable. It works perfectly. However, the speakers are not loud at all. This is really the only drawback I’ve found so far. For portable devices (Phones/Tablets): If you have a Lighting cable on your iPhone/iPad, you’ll need a special Lightning to HDMI adaptor cable. I contacted support and they sent me one FOR FREE. It came in only 2 days!! I hooked it up and it worked perfectly. It mirrored my phone and iPad instantly without issue. The volume was far better on this too. Computer: I hooked this up to my PC Laptop via USB-C. It instantly connected as a 3rd monitor. It acted exactly the same as a “normal” monitor. Easy peasy. And if your computer allows for it, the USB-C can even power the monitor w/o the use of the additional power cable. I obviously had no need to use the speaker on this as a monitor, but the option showed up on my computer sound output devices. Speakers: While it has built-in speakers, they leave a lot to be desired. They are definitely better than nothing, but they are still not loud. If you’re using this as a monitor, then it’s no big deal…however if you’re wanting to use this to listen to stuff, you may be a tad disappointed. You can always plug in speakers to the audio-out for external speakers, or even headphone, so that helps. Customer Service: The customer service was second to none. They were SUPER responsive and always ready to help with answers. They were very helpful and I was very impressed with how great and friendly they were. Like i said below, they even sent me a free Lightning to HDMI adaptor so i could use this with my phone. I feel like my product is in good hand with them having my back. Negatives (only a few): This device does not support a microphone. If you are gaming and plug in a headset, you will only get audio and won’t be able to talk. I have to plug my mic into my switch or my pc in order to use that function. In order to access the settings for the screen/volume, etc, there is a spring loaded toggle wheel on the side. The instructions do a poor job explaining how to operate this and I needed to contact support in order to get an explanation. If you rotate the dial up or down it will seemingly control the volume, but then at other times it will control the brightness. I could not figure out how to access all the other features. It turns out you have to press IN the edge of the dial (towards the center of the monitor) to bring up a menu. From there you cycle through the different menus (color, resolution, etc) by clicking the wheel and toggling the wheel up/down and a quick press of the power button to make your selections. I only wish the wheel stuck out a little more. If you have larger fingers, it will probably be hard to do this. This is the most annoying part. Closing The positives greatly outweigh the negatives…especially at this price point. The built-in kick stand is solid. If you fold it all the way down flat, it will cover up the ports, however you can just fold it up and you’re find. It has a VESA mounts, so you can even put it on a stand if you want. There is an input selector (the power button, if you just tap it), so you can gave both Mini-HDMI and USB-C plugged in simultaneously and then select which you want to use (in my case with my switch and computer). I love this b/c it’s SUPER thing and the picture quality is great! It’s very bright and the colors are wonderful. Yes, you can get better monitors, but you can’t really beat it at this price point…especially with all the other features it offers. I am super satisfied with my purchase and may even get another one at some point. I hope this helps answer some of the same questions for everyone that I had.

Writing this review while using the monitor. Very satisfied with the quality of the monitor, both in build quality as well as the colors and brightness of the screen. large size while staying portable, and the 120hz is great while gaming! I was also impressed by the great customer service, fast and helpful.

I purchased 2 of these monitors and absolutely love them, I travel a lot so perfect with the light weight and the service is quick too and. Experience with uperfect is perfect, I’d be buying my next gear from them again in the future. Purchased a bag for protection during travel.

Excellent upgrade over earlier models. Pros: - Upgrade over previous model: with nicer looking glossy screen, monitor settings that remained instead of resetting with each power off, better material, built-in kick stand - Excellent customer support - high refresh rate - accutrate colour profile - light and portable - touchscreen - great value for the features Cons: - brightness still on the lower side - adjustment of settings using the dial a bit finicky and - not sure if adjustment dial would last (last monitor, dial fell off around 1 year and I didn't use it regularly)

Positive: Easy to plug in to your dedicated device and power outlet. Comes with all necessary cables. Beautiful Construction (strong and study) and great viewing angles. Volume suprisingly decent. Super fast and responsive display at 120hz. Negatives: Colour needs to be drastically adjusted. Took me 45 minutes to get the colours right. Touch interface sometimes don't work, it requires your device to be reconnected (works 90% of the time). Cables are too short but all necessities are included for different devices. 18.5 inch will not fit most bags but plenty of carry cases available. Overall really affordable monitor I can take on the go. Highly recommended.

The display is really good and crisp perfect for both gaming and work just a little disappointed with screen flickering when you connect only with type-c display output you need to plug in the adapter for smoothless experience
