The World Atlas of Coffee: From Beans to Brewing - Coffees Explored, Explained and Enjoyed Review: A must-add to your coffee library. - This is a beautiful and brilliant book. As an ex-barista, I have more coffee books than I know what to do with, but this is by far the most lovely. It's coffee book meets coffee-table book. Full of information and tremendous photographs. If you do plan to read it, know that it's densely packed with information, and not an introductory style light read. Espresso from Bean to Cup, The Complete Guide to Expresso, Cappuccino, Latte and Coffee Is a great introductory option (for almost no money) as an introduction to espresso - it touches on other coffee and beans some. Although a bit dated, it is full of useful information. Another option is Kenneth David's book: Coffee: A Guide to Buying, Brewing, and Enjoying I haven't spent much time with the Blue Bottle coffee book, but it is a bit more modern, and addresses all types of coffee, and comes highly recommended. Review: Great all around coffee reference - I am new to brewing and grinding my own custom coffee and that's why I bought this excellent book. There is a LOT of great information about all the different kinds of coffee, on a world round basis. I doubt I will even be able to get a handle on all of them, but it's very nice to have a reference that I can go to when friends make suggestions. The part of the book dealing with grinding and brewing offered many good suggestions and I am very happy I make this purchase.

Good Book for Coffee Lovers
This book is highly recommended for all the coffee aficionados. It has the right balance between factual information, pictures and maps. The title is slightly misleading. Only half of the book is dedicated to worldwide coffee production map locations. The other half is dedicated to general information on coffee bean types, coffee making, coffee machines and coffee terminology. I gave this book five stars because it is the best book on the subject I could find. Read & enjoy.

Current but bloated, still solid info at a reasonable (enough) price
The first half is a rehashing of every other book on coffee, plus a bit of extra pretense. The second half offers a great overview of the literal world of coffee, a great resource for consumers with some solid info to round out a pro's knowledge. Doesn't get into great detail on some areas but does have very current info on those it does. Overall a better option than attempting to source this info from coffee forums, if a bit of an overpriced on.

Excellent book!
This is an excellent coffee book. I've been roasting my own coffee for over a year now, and I haven't found a good book that explains the details I've been looking for until I found this book. It's not only a good table top book ( because the pictures are really nice!) but it has wonderful reference points and knowledge in it as well. In just the week that I've had it, I've been able to correct some of my own errors in roasting where other books I have make no mention of where I needed the extra help.

A Book That Helps You Communicate With Your Coffee
Very good and instructional book. Will teach you much about coffee origin and helps you to bond with your coffee better. You will learn the basics of many methods for preparing coffee and you will also get some advanced tips. It is easy to apply the books information to different situations to help you communicate with your coffee. Very good overall read, would advice to anyone who is in to coffee

Fun to read!
It was a pleasant journey to learn where coffee comes from, the way harvested, water and the roasting process that influence the taste of a cup of coffee.

Great Source of Information
This is one of the best overall introductions to coffee that I have read. I recommend this with the https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Bottle-Craft-Coffee-Roasting/dp/1607741180/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477242795&sr=8-1&keywords=blue+bottle+craft+of+coffee Blue Bottle book. This is not a barista's guide book though it does have some information one should know if that is your profession. I enjoy the beverage. I am no expert. I merely wanted to learn more about the plant and the product. The pictures are very nice as well.

El libro era un regalo de cumpleaños para mi novio, que es barista y el mundo que le apasiona es el del café. Aún lo está leyendo, dice ser muy interesante, calidad de las imágenes increíbles y útil para consultas teóricas sobre el café.

A great read for the coffee lover and a must for the shelves or tables of any speciality coffee shop. Thank you James Hoffmann for putting together an informative, easy to digest book full of facts and interesting information. I love the size of the book and the fabric feel of the cover too, it looks great! This book covers everything from the harvesting and processing to roasting, tasting, grinding and goes into detail about various brewing methods including step by step instructions for you to follow in order to get the most of out of your coffee and equipment. A great book and if you buy from Amazon it's well below the RRP of £20. I have noticed a couple of coffee shops trying to sell this for £30!

This book has info that many others do not like country profiles and roasting at home. It has the most modern info available. I really enjoyed reading this book. It is well and concisely written, If anything I would like more details like a few more country profiles ie Hiati and a greater discussion on home roasting. Some day someone will write the perfect book on coffee, of course, perfect for me.
