Bearings broke on 3rd Use, freshwater.
Bought the 6000 series, broke on my 3rd fishing day with it. Used it for Michigan river salmon (6k is crazy overkill and still broke). It’s cheap, yes. But to break on the third use, not even worth the risk. Bearings are broke and won’t spin.

Not for regular saltwater use. BG 6000
I go saltwater fishing a couple days a week. I’m Not too sure this reel will hold up to some of the sea monsters I occasionally catch. This reel is the BG6000 and is smaller than other manufacturer’s (Penn, Diawa) 6000 series reels I have see the last photo I have rods and reels for surf, offshore, pier and inshore fishing and grandkids. This reel is “attractive” and has several nice features, but I have concerns how long it will last and the overall quality. The reel has a line reverse and a plastic tab to hook your line on when reel is not in use. The drag is located on top as it is with most spinning reels. I have bought perhaps 25 bargain reels over the last 15 years and currently have none left. I think this will be a grandkids reel but that's it. I will post an update soon, but my initial impression of the 6000 reel is not great. Special Note: This reel came dry, meaning there is NO OIL or GEAR GREASE under the spool, note the pictures, there should be. This is a red flag with any reel!!!! Notice the last three photos.
