This is important - I think - because I don't always have the time or energy to repot my plants. So, maintaining soil health is important. I also use quality organic fertilizer and a product which neutralizes tap water chloramines, so I can't be completely sure, on balance, what's doing what to keep my plants healthy and happy, but the combination works really well. There's a lot of product in the bag, and will easily nourish a lot of soil. I have above 50 plants and have already gone through a couple of cycles with Big Foot with plenty remaining. Because it contains organic ingredients including macrobiotics and those are living organisms, I'll assume that this product doesn't have an indefinite shelf life, however, and whatever I don't use within a year, I'll likely use somewhere else, maybe outside on the trees and shrubs.
