SUP Taxi XT Surfboard Rack

Thank you Thule for providing ease and peace of mind! First time cargo rack users, we took a chance at this product to carry my 11ft SUP on a 12 hour drive up to the lake house. Obvious from my headline that we were very happy with our purchase. Product is excellent quality, super easy to put on the vehicle and once tied to the front, we never had to adjust the entire trip! I was also impressed at what little noise we experienced inside the truck while driving, if any noise at all! I have already recommended this carrier to several friends! 🏄🏻‍♀️💙

Easy to install and will accommodate 2 longboard surfboards and the locking system keeps everything secure.

Best money ever spent. I can get my 11’ SUPs on with no help and only take 5 minutes!

Our family recently had a family reunion in another state where we wanted to bring our hard stand up paddleboards. Around town, we had always just stuck them over the seats of my wife's Honda Pilot and that wasn't a problem for a 15 minute ride, but 8-9 hours at highway speeds was a different matter. We were able to install them on a standard crossbar without much difficulty at all. They tighten down and lock into place so others wouldn't be able to easily mess with anything. They are independently adjustable so it doesn't matter if you have a wide board or a narrow one. The straps that hold the boards down are also long enough that we could put two on without any concerns at all. I feel like we were more limited by the weight the car could carry than the weight the racks could hold. They say they are limited up to 80 mph and we tested that successfully. In fact, I may have hit 85 a couple times, and it got a little scary sometimes when we passed a big truck or with the Wyoming winds, but we made it there and back without any issues at all. It was more expensive than I wanted to spend, but it did the job and I'm happy to protect my other investments.

I bought this Thule SUP Taxi for my new ISLE Voyager 11' 6" Hard paddle board (which I LOVE!). It is very simple to put on the board and take it off and it is very secure when driving. Although the straps do "lock" with the board on top, I wouldn't leave it unattended as there are just straps and a thief could cut them and take my board (also ruining the straps/rack). But as a 60+ year old who grew up surfing, these racks are dang nice!

I won't lie. I was a little skeptical when I saw the price tag. I read lots of reviews. Watched lots of videos on assembly and figured I'd give it a go and boy am I Glad I did. Installation was a little difficult at first. The instructions are not clear whatsoever, but after a few YouTube videos I figured it out. There's a larger key in the package that's going to be your install key. Trust me that alone makes life easier. Once I got it on and board strapped over, I cannot imagine how I did this before. A job strapping boards to the top that used to take no less than 30 minutes now takes no more than 30 seconds. So pleased and would absolutely purchase again!!

The wife recently got a new subaru after ditching an acadia. We previously used a SUP strap system that didn't incorporate cross bars...which was super sketchy diving over 40 miles per hour. Enter the thule into our lives. We strap 2 inflatable sups up there and the worry about them flying off is gone. Super solid design, easy to use and worry free. Spend the money, just do it.

This is really hard to use. It doesn’t make your life easier. It’s super hard to thread the straps into the cloth things like really hard. I plan to just leave them in there but then it’s really hard to put your paddle board in the loops. it’s just easier strapping and on my crossbar this is a really poor design. I wish I could return it but I’ve taken too long. Customer service is useless.

Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich mich für diese Variante des Sup Board Transports auf meinem Autodachträger entschieden habe. Das Sup wird sicher und stabil gehalten. Die Trägemodule lassen sich leicht befestigen, abschließen und der Breite des Boards anpassen. Es ist für eine Person allein gut möglich das Sup auf den Träger zu hiefen und mit den Gurten festzuspannen. Ich kann den Träger nur empfehlen und würde ihn wieder kaufen.

Nothing to assemble, just insert the key locks and attach to cross bars. Mounting system is not T-bolt but wrap around soft rubbery straps that go around the cross bars. Finally I won’t have to unroll the SUP, pump it up then deflate and roll back after each time - a major pain, you know it. If you have space to store your SUP blown up - do yourself a favour and get this mount.

I like the simplicity of the Thule SUP Taxi XT. It take about 2 min to install the sup and your ready to go.
