How tall is it in inches?

I haven't removed it from the package yet, because its a Christmas present for my son. But he looks to be about 7 inches tall, so he is perfect for the 6 inch scale figures because he'll be taller than ask the Avengers except Hulk

Is the figure height really only six inches?

Ultron is part of the 6-inch line. However, all of the figures in that line are "close" to 6-inches and not exact. Some figures are bigger and some are smaller, trying to more accurately represent the character (for instance, Wolverine and Spider-Ham are smaller than 6-inches, whereas the Hulk is well over). In Ultron's case, he is part of the 6-inch line, but is closer to 7 1/2 inches (his knees are bent in the box and measures 7 1/2 inches, so with his legs fully straight he might actually be closer to 8.
