This was the first time I’d tried any shampoo scrub and it’s awesome. Doesn’t take too much to lather up, just keep adding a little more water to get it going and it lathers up great! I love the smell and my scalp is so clean!! Like seriously i have thick hair it’s kind of hard to really get to the scalp and scrub but this scrub is soft and makes the hair more manageable to actually be able to get through the hair easier and really down into the scalp. The grittiness of the salt dissolves rather quickly so it’s not like you’re constant feeling hard pieces while lathering. Note to any scalp pickers out there: if you have sores on your head from picking scabs or dry spots this will burn! The first time I used it my scalp was pretty messed up from my OCD and anxiety of picking and scratching causing horrible sores, and my head was on fire BUT once I also think it helped heal those areas and I tried hard not to mess with my head and going fwd there’s no discomfort and I actually look fwd to using the scrub. Has kind of an earthy smell with a twist of fruity odor. It’s different and really love it!!

I've had greasy roots my entire life. 1-2 days after washing my hair with shampoo for greasy hair, it still looks like it hasn't been washed in a week. I have to wash it everyday. I don't sweat at night either fyi. The past 6 months my scalp became itchy too. I tried popular brands of shampoo for dry scalps/itching but they were disappointing. I was leary about buying an exfoliating scalp shampoo with oil in it, but the description said it would work on users with greasy hair. I also use Vick's Vaporub on my neck a lot, and my hair often sticks to it. When the menthol wears off, the Vicks is Vaseline, which never completely came out of my hair with one shower - even after two washes. Washing my hair only to dry it and have it still be greasy was so frustrating! Using this product on the top of my head, the sides, underneath, and on my long strands of hair has worked wonders. Rolling my long hair between my palms with this product gets all the Vicks out in 1 wash. My hair isn't greasy and my scalp doesn't itch. Yesterday, I took a quick shower and used clarifying shampoo instead of this product, and by night my hair looked ridiculously greasy. I'm so glad a product like this is available. I thought I was stuck with greasy hair for life, but this product has saved me! It does exactly what it advertises and now my hair actually looks clean and freshly washed. If I hadn't tried it, people may have spent years questioning my hygiene based on my hair lol. Buy this product - like I said it's a lifesaver!

I actually liked this scalp scrub more than I expected. The first thing I noticed was the micro-exfoliating beads. They’re smaller and finer than a lot of scalp scrubs I’ve tried, which I appreciate because larger, rough particles can feel damaging or too aggressive on the scalp. These felt gentle but still effective. I didn’t feel like I was scratching or irritating my scalp. There was definitely a tingling sensation from the rosemary/peppermint ingredients, which I personally like. That cooling/tingling feeling makes it feel like it’s stimulating and refreshing the scalp. It gave that “deep clean” sensation without feeling overly harsh. It did a good job helping with buildup and leaving my scalp feeling clean and refreshed. The only downside for me was the smell. I personally did not like the scent at all. It’s not unbearable, but it’s not something I enjoyed during the wash process. Also, this is NOT an everyday shampoo. It works best as a weekly or occasional scalp treatment to exfoliate and remove buildup. Using something like this daily could be too much for most scalps. Overall, I think it’s a solid scalp exfoliating treatment — especially if you deal with buildup or itchy scalp — just not a daily-use shampoo.

I actually like this scalp scrub overall. It leaves my scalp feeling clean, refreshed, and helps remove buildup without being overly harsh. The texture is nice and it works well as a clarifying treatment. My only drawback is that Batana Oil is listed around the 4th or 5th ingredient. I would have preferred to see it as the 1st or 2nd ingredient, since that usually means there’s more of it in the formula. I bought it specifically for the Batana Oil benefits, so a higher concentration would make this product even better. Still, it’s a solid scalp exfoliator and I enjoy using it.

Very clean hair after using this. I love how clean this makes my hair I use it right before my monthly hair appointment to get rid off all the build up. It smells great and I love the massage brush it comes with.
