A great idea
We are remodeling our main bath and going with all Moen fixtures and faucets at our contractor's recommendation. The quality is great and the look is stunning. We have a neo-angle glass shower that can be a bit of a challenge when positioning fixtures. We wanted shelf and a grab bar without ruining the clean look of the glass enclosure. This was the perfect solution. It'w well made and goes with well with the shower faucet we chose. It's a clever idea to combine the shelf with the grab bar. It's sturdy and attractive. The shelf is separate so you can clean it when needed. A great idea.

PERFECT Shower, GRAB BAR and SHELF!
I have a new tile shower, with carrara marble tile, and really needed a grab bar, and wanted the shelf instead of the ugly corner shelves or niche always installed in tile showers. This popped up under Moen and I was excited. Once it arrived, mounting it was no problem at all, just make sure you get a NEW drill bit, to not mark up your tile, and POW perfection. Its the perfect size, and color for my Nickel trim for my bathroom and shower area. My tile guy was amazed, since its a DUAL purpose addition. I can even add another if I need more room for shower things but right now its just PERFECT!!!!

Great value. Strong and attractive.
Just the right bend in the shelf to hold shampoos, body wash and such without them tipping or falling out. The shelf is sturdy so I can put all my essentials on it. It was easy to install and looks nice in the shower. And don't forget, it's a grab bar! I will order a second one for my other bathroom when we finish remodeling.

Works, but you need an unusual tool.
It's well made. What they do NOT tell you is that this has a unique mounting system. You need to drill a 1 1/4" hole! If you are mounting on tile like I was..you need to buy a 1 1/4" hole saw suitable for tile and ceramic...about $25. Then they have this funky mount that you slide in the hole and open up. I was fortunate, I had cement board behind my tile, so I used six 5/16" plastic anchors. I had a proper ceramic/tile drill bit. If you use an improvised mount, remove the sponge gasket material on the mounting flange so that your flange site right on the wall and not on top of your anchors otherwise you'll have a small gap. Seriously, who has a 1 1/4" ceramic hole saw laying around? Also, they do supply a template. Be VERY accurate as there is only 1/16" fudge factor to mount the bar to the wall flanges.

These make great shower grab bars, but don't LOOK like safety grab bars!
I put two of these in a tub shower that has a tall Jacuzzi steeping tub that makes it a bit more challenging to step in or out. I put one near where I enter and exit, and another at the opposite end closer to the shower head. Both hold shampoo and a bar of soap and look like--well--shampoo holders. Much nicer than the industrial looking "old people" grab bars, but just as sturdy and just as safe. I put in extra blocking behind the sheetrock and tile when the surround was being tiled. But assuming you have standard studs set on 16" centers you can retrofit these where ver those studs are located. I used a diamond drill bit to drill through the tile, then used the stainless screws that came with them to screw them thru the tile and sheetrock into the studs. I just bought three more to put in a new house I recently bought (which won't have the blocking behind the tile). I'll go up to where the wallboard is exposed above the tile to find the location of the studs using an electronic studfinder. Then will use a long carpenter's level to follow the studs down to the height at which I want them installed. Then will use the same diamond bit to make holes in the tile so I can again screw each end of the "shampoo rack" to the studs behind the sheetrock and tile. By happy coincidence these make terrific storage for all your shower paraphernalia. But will also protect us old folks from falls.

quality unit
Nicely made, good materials and design. The mounting hardware was way over kill, but being a safety device. That might be what is expected for support these days. Even the tray is nicely made.... worth the money!

Shelves my son can pull on without breaking
We don't actually need safety rails in the tub just yet, but my 10 year old is tough on things like towel racks which he views as pull up bars. This soap dish is the perfect size for shampoo bottles etc... They look lovely and hopefully will prevent me from having to murder my son. Though they are 16 in on center and designed to be installed directly to the studs, they also have alternate instructions with a very stable installation directly through the drywall (required a hole drill bit). We used this method as it was difficult to be exactly certain where the studs were behind the tile. Because of this method, I was able to stagger my two shelves. Otherwise, they would have to span from stud to stud. I have a friend who is a professional, and would not have felt comfortable installing these myself. I'm absolutely certain I would have cracked the tile. I would recommend having very skilled assistance if not professional installation especially if your shower is stone or tile.

Really pleased with my purchase, as the grab rail doubles up as a soap dish which distracts from being a grab rail on the wall. Really good design and quality.

I've installed three of these in different shower stalls when renovating rental units and recommend them highly. Grab bars are the safe way to go. I always tell my tenants that they are grab bars so they know to use them, because they don't look like grab bars. The integral shelf is perfect and very handy as well as looking great.

Beautiful in its finish, useful every day in function and a perfectly disguised grab bar for when it’s needed. Even my installer was impressed with it. Box includes toggle bolts for installations in places where a stud is not available to anchor it. Installer was also impressed with the way the toggle bolt worked. It meant he could centre the soap dish/grab bar wherever it looked best and it would still provide optimal support. Chose this darker finish so it blended with tile backdrop and it looks like it was part of the original shore design.
