THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST HT ON THE MARKET. HAVE THE FT-70D AND FT-3D. THE RECIEVER ON THIS IS FANTASTIC. STILL 5 WATTS BUT THIS ONE IS A KEEPER!

It has every radio built into it that you would want in an emergency. Including C4FM AND Wires-X. Just about everything but a cell phone (Please laugh.).

Cost a lot.. for the same capability I get out of far less expensive radios .. unless youre a real radio dork.. you likely wont use a lot of the more complex features like APS packets .. and now days even the Boafengs can do that for 300 dollars less.. Also Burns through batteries. But it is a "Real" superhetrodine radio.. which provide the highest sensitivity..and is from a very reliable brand.. so depending on what you're looking for it may be good for you.. I use my much cheaper radios much more often tho 🤷🏾♂️
