My mum used it for us when we were children. Now that I have two young children of my own, I make sure to keep a supply of arnica. It is incredible for healing sore muscles and bruises and bumps. With two verry active kids, we have lots of bumps of varying degrees. Between ice packs, damp cloths, arnica, and rose scented witch hazel, tending our bumps and bruises has become such a calming ritual in our home. It's so nice to have something to do when someone gets hurt. I have also found that getting arnica onto an injury right away,usually prevents a bruise forming (unless it was a really hard bump). And, if it doesn't prevent it completely, it certainly reduces the length and severity. My mil saw my baby fall headfirst into the corner of a wall the other day (it was awful! baby is learning to walk), I got arnica on it immediately. Mil was floored when she saw us the next day and not a bruise in sight!I also got sick and spent time in hospital with lots of blood draws and IVs. I used arnica around all the needle pokes and it really helped reduce the bruising that can happen from them.I'm really glad I found this salve. It is far and out better than the big name brand arnica you come across (I avoid that, there's very little actual arnica in it). I love that this is in a tub, it's so easy to use this way. Plus, my older child loves to put this on himself. A little goes a long way so it will last.
