Am I small? Är jag liten?: Children's Picture Book English-Swedish (Bilingual Edition)

I love this book. The illustrations are beautiful! A great book to help teach my daughter Swedish.

I've set myself two language-related tasks for this year. One is to brush up on my long-ignored French, and the other is to learn a new language (Swedish). Once you begin to get a handle on some basics, one of the best ways to learn is to read children's books in your chosen language. They're not just designed to entertain, not at all. Through the use of pictures and repetition of basic words and phrases, children's books teach spelling, grammar and idiomatic usage. They will guide the reader gently through new vocabulary by putting the words into simple context. "Am I Small?" is a delightful book written both in Swedish and English, so there's never any question about whether you've gotten the right idea or not. But the repetition of Tamia's question, "Am I small?" and the various answers she receives go a long way to teaching basic language concepts. And in the end, Tamia's conclusion is exactly right, and a valuable lesson The illustrations are just charming, and make this book even more memorable. If you plan on learning Swedish, give this book a place on your e-reader. If you know a child who is learning either English or Swedish -- the dual language text will work both ways -- this is a wonderful gift.

I'm a beginner in Swedish and this book as well as many others has been very useful. It's not just for children. Works well for beginners

I am so proud to pass my heritage on to my grandchildren. These little books are so sweet for them, and not only can they learn to read the english, they can learn the swedish along with it. I gave one to each one of my four grandchildren at christmas. I will be looking for more. What a great idea!

cool art, accurate translation, but no story, or phrases that the kids would use to practice while not reading, there is no connection and it is very basic. Its just a girl asking different creatures if she is small...

When I was studying Swedish for fun, I wanted a children's book to read to see how much I learned to figure I haven't learned enough to even be able to read a very simple children's book, what a fail

Bilingual picture books are a great idea, but it's hard to know how engaging the story will be when you buy it online. Our family loves this book. Not only is it helping us learn Swedish, but the sweet and simple storyline is very touching. Each age gets something different out of it. I recommend it for 0-8, depending on your language needs, although my ten-year-old thinks it's fun to hear at bedtime, too.

Petite histoire amusante et facile pour les tout petits. Peut-être une version française serait intéressante. Mais pour des trilingues ça ne dérange pas😊

I'll admit I bought this for myself because I'm learning to speak Swedish and I needed to start with some VERY basics and have a bit of fun at the same time! This is an exquisite little book, the illustrations are beautiful, the language simple as you would expect for a young child's first book foray into another language. Highly recommend it.
