Review: My experience is off the charts - I seldom take the time to review any of the items I purchase, but I ordered two different cane jaggery and a palm jaggery that I received today. Hands down this was the most amazing and delicious sweet treat I've ever tasted. Blew the others out of the water. There is 9 large cubes (more like domes) in the container weighing about51 to 54 grams each. Knowing how hard it is to consume enough potassium, it's pretty cool knowing jaggery is over 1% potassium by weight which is a nice boost of natural goodness. Cutting off a little slab of this is a desert all by itself. Review: The perfect container of jaggery for me - I VERY rarely write a review. But, I am so pleased with this product that I can’t resist. I have in the past bought solid jaggery in block form in a 1.1# block. I had to use a knife to break off chunks. They were never exactly the same size. So my tea was sometimes too sweet - sometimes not sweet enough. Then I tried palm jaggery in powder form. I liked being able to measure it. I didn’t like the cloudiness of my tea; and the taste did not please me as much as cane jaggery. And then, along came this product. Jaggery cubes. A brilliant and delicious idea. I would think that it goes in shaped. The plastic container is super thin, and mine cracked and the lid was off. I prefered their other brand to this one. **Q: Is this Jiva Organic Jaggery a block form?** A: Yes its block form. It is 4 sections that break apart easily when Warm. Underline WARM because its more difficult to break or cut if it is cold. **Q: Would this work for cinnamon sugar in a shaker bottle?** A: If jaggery is not wrapped and sealed very tightly it becomes very dry and very hard. This writer takes a meat tenderizer metal mallet and separates the block strips in sets of four (4). It is very noisy and requires consider psi to split them apart. (Total twenty (20) altogether). You can pulverize it using the meat tenderizer technique or you can put pieces in a food processor and break it down. If you get it to the point of being grandular, it may be able to be used as cinnamon sugar. Good luck!++ BTW: Of all the Jaggery products I have tried so far; this one has the best distinctive flavor.
