The bandeaus are double-layered, a supportive stretchy under-layer that add support and has a thicker elastic top to help the bandeau remain in place. The top layer is a pretty lacy one.I gave these the ultimate test and wore one for a 12hour work shift, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they remained in place and also how comfy they were.As for size, I chose the large and I think I may have been better to go for the next size up as the bandeau was a little on the tight side, but if I had the next size up would it have syated in place?Overall a good price for a wardrobe basic that did what it was supposed to do.
