US Wall Travel Adapter Charger with Car Charge Adapter Power Supply for Microsoft Surface Pro /Surface Pro 2 10.6 Tablet Charger 12V 3.6A

I bought this primarily to have a car charger. It is nice that it comes with both the outlet, and car adaptor. It attaches magnetically like the Original charger, but does not have a LED indicator to let you know it's working. You need to check your screen to see that it is properly charging. The outlet adaptor is big and bulky, not like the original, fold down plug that comes with the Surface Pro2. It operates with a 2 part series of wires, but is OK as a back up.

Works as advertised. It does not have a statis light on its tip like the charger that came with the Surface has. So I have to open up the Surface to ensure it is charging.

Pretty disappointed in this item. The fit on the charging port is adequate but not great, and I would say the same about the magnetic grip (adequate but not great). There is no charging light which is a problem because the fit and grip are not great. There have been times when I thought that it was charging but it was not. The power cord that connects to the wall easily disconnects from the transformer and again, you might not realize this because there is no charging light. I guess you can open up the Surface and get to the desktop and see if it is charging but that is very inconvenient when you just want to put it on a charge.In the last couple of weeks, the insulation on the charging cable (runs from transformer to the Surface) has pulled away from the transformer and now I can see the individual colored wires it is supposed to protect. This unit has been given normal use...it gets moved around between the living room and the kitchen...it has never been treated roughly.I can't say that I recommend this item

The power supply/charger does just that. It will supply power while you have access to an electrical out let, and also recharge the internal battery. I've used it for several hours at a time and the unit stays cool. The vehicle charger is completely seperate, not a USB adapter, so you don't have to keep switching power supply adapters. I keep one in the car, and the 110v AC unit in a travel case. The original stays at home (it has a shorter cord so it stays on the desk).I love/recommend it.

Very good experience. Unit works exactly as described and didn't have the outlandish price of an original replacement. I was away from home for an extended period and forgot my charger and scrambled to find a replacement. What I finally found in the stores were very highly priced. Looked on line and found this gem, which works as well as the original. Delivery was fast. I definitely recommend it for anyone who needs a second charging unit.

The car charger charges the Surface Pro fine. However, the wall charger was difficult to connect to the Surface Pro. After about 2 weeks, the portion that connects to the computer melted and no longer charges the computer. I have to charge it from my truck. Other than that, my SP2 is a paper weight.I am irritated that Microsoft does not sell replacement chargers for older model computers.
