The Holy Qur'an , also known as The Koran , is the sacred book of Islam . It is the word of God whose truth was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through the angel Gabriel over a period of 23 years. As it was revealed, so it was committed to memory by his companions , though written copies were also made by literate believers during the lifetime of the Prophet. The first full compilation was by Abu Bakar, the first Caliph , and it was then recompiled in the original dialect by the third Caliph Uthman , after the best reciters had fallen in battle. Muslims believe that the truths of The Holy Qur'an are fully and authentically revealed only in the original classical Arabic . However, as the influence of Islam grows and spreads to the modern world, it is recognized that translation is an important element in introducing and explaining Islam to a wider audience. This translation, by Marmaduke Pickthall , is considered to be the most faithful rendering available in English . Review: ใดใ - ใดใ Review: Caution: Looks like a textbook - The issue isn't contents, it's the design, the size is large and it overall feels cheap-looking, and the title isn't even printed on the spine. One would expect a holy book to be a thick little volume, this is like a thin textbook format. To be fair the dimensions are listed, but I've literally never come across a holy book printed in this form, how many people would think to check I wonder? I'm very disappointed in the look and feel of the book. Hopefully the contents are fine, but if I'd known I wouldn't have bought this one.

Good but Strange
The book is translated the English BUT in a strange way. It's challenging to read. because book translation uses words such as: Thee, thou, knower/knowest, nor, wherewith, surrendereth, ye, therein, thereof, chooseth, etc...) It is difficult to read text that is written/translated, in such a weird way. Also to understand sentences have to re-read like 5x. But okay, it's translated... Soft covers. Normal font.

Very nice English translation book of the The Holy Qur'an
I ordered The Holy Qur'an in this English translation version. I've had many questions and personal faith explorations that have led me to wanting to understand the Qur'an better. So, this version was perfect for me. This is a large, paperback book; the pages are nice quality, and the size of the letters are easy to see and read. Things are written in a way that I can understand, and I appreciate that.๐ This is a nice book to have, whether you're studying the Qur'an, are of Muslim faith, love someone who's Muslim, or if you're just curious about the faith. This is a nice quality version, and I'm very happy with it. โค๏ธ
