Although an absolute bear to assemble, it is a near perfect copy of the original game. It has been moved from room to room with no problems at all. Plan on 2 people to put together and bring your patience.

What a great deal on a great quality arcade game. I have not connected it to the internet, because I like having all the high scores. The controller reacts well with no lag. I feel like I'm back in college at a bar playing Galaga, only without the quarters. The only tiny negative was a typo in the instructions. It had once piece used twice because the piece they called for was miss named. It was pretty obvious, so it didn't slow my assembly more than a minute.

This game is AWESOME!!! I wanted something to spruce up the mancave and this fits the bill. This came packaged extremely well, and just as much engineering went into the packaging as the machine itself! Everything arrived in good shape. The finishes on all the parts are extremely well done. Plan on 2-4 hours to assemble and have a helper handy. Just follow the instructions, be careful and take your time because the payoff is worth it! TIPS: Take the plastic off the screen BEFORE installing into the cabinet. Take each little screw out as you pull the protective plastic off, then replace the screw and go to the next one. Same thing with the film on the control panel. This machine is just the right size and looks great! I considered building my own cabinet game with a computer and MAME32 emulator, but for what this costs WHY do that? This is so much easier and looks way cool!! If you're looking for an Arcade game, I would highly recommend this one! Very satisfied with it!!

Sorry to hear that some customers may have received their product damaged, but that could be the fault of the shipper/courier/handler - rather than Arcade-1UP. Don't forget folks, when you're providing a review of the product, it's helpful to stay on point by talking about your experience with the product. Anyway -- Very pleased with the "Galaga" signature version of this upright console arcade game that I ordered from Arcade-1UP. I knew prior to my order that I would be taking a chance that this may not be "apples to apples" from what I remember playing in the arcades as a teen in the early-to-mid 80's - and guess what? It's not intended to be. If it was, then this would be an authentic coin-operated, full sized, plywood-constructed cabinet that has the precise controller/button action you might remember from that time period. You're not going to get that here - and you shouldn't expect it at a $399.00 price tag. What you will get, however, is a "close-to-authentic" simulation that practically mirrors the Galaga experience (along with the additional Pac-Man, Dig-Dug, Rolling Thunder games) and takes you back to 1981, when Galaga was released by Namco. This console is loads of fun and allows you to maintain your high scores at the unit level while sharing them globally on a ranked leaderboard across Arcade-1UP's servers. You can opt out of the wireless configuration feature that allows leaderboard access, as well. In addition (I know this is available on the Galaga game, but not sure about the other included games), you can go into the game's settings and adjust your configuration to allow additional ships, faster fire rate, and at which point levels to award scoring bonuses. In other words, you can play using the authentic arcade settings, or you can customize the game experience to match your enjoyment level. For those saying that it takes two people to put the console together -- that's not actually true. Sure, it will help you to have extra hands, especially for the step where you have to align the last side panel to all of the cross beams and supports that were attached to the first side panel - but - in reality, you can do this yourself, as I did, by taking your time and PARTIALLY screwing down the contact points on that last side panel in order to have enough "play" to align the rest of your contact points. Not gonna lie - it's a pain in the aՏՏ, but it can be done when you don't have anyone to help you. Also - do yourself a favor and keep track of how much torque you put into tightening the screws during the construction of this unit. Make sure you put enough firmness into screwing down the bolts - but do not overtighten. This unit is made of pressed particle board (not real wood). It may help you to go down to your local hardware store and purchase a few very small washers for the provided bolt size that will also seat into the pre-drilled counter-sinked relief holes on the side panels. I didn't do this, because I was lazy -- but I recommend it for a more secure build. I've only had this Arcade-1UP console for about a week, but it has absolutely met my expectations and it really has been a nostalgic experience that my wife is also enjoying.

I was a little skeptical about getting this. My main concern was that it would not be exactly like the original galaga arcade game and that there would be some subtle differences in the way it plays. It works exactly like the original though. The size is just a little smaller than the arcade version but it doesn't affect the play. I can't tell any difference in the screen size though, the screen seems just as large as the original. Assembly took about 2 hours but was not difficult at all. I would not hesitate to get another game from this company. I couldn't be more impressed.

This arcade machine was a big hit for Christmas! It takes two to assemble and one party of the instructions were wrong but we figured it out pretty easily. Bow that it’s up and running we are having so much fun with it!

This was cheaper than a real commercial grade arcade game but for $500 its a win! Took me several hours to put together (quicker if you have help) but items were well identified and easy to follow directions. Surprised my husband for his 60th bday as Galaga was his favorite game as a kid. He plays daily and is super happy with his gift! Sound-lights & visual are fantastic has many bonus games including Pac-Man. Will be well loved for years to come.

Gift for the Mrs., as Galaga was her favorite game growing up. This was the star of our Christmas party. Nostalgia for everyone and fun for all. Delivered quickly and easy to follow assembly instructions.

Couple hours to assemble but fairly easy. All the games are identical to the 80’s arcade games.

Wasn't expecting too much but I was surprised at the good quality item. Well packed box of contents. Gaming was perfect just how I remember it. Paid £439.99 in their Spirng Sale.

Me ha gustado bastante todo el proceso de montarla y hacerla funcionar, no es complicado, pero si que tienes que tener paciencia. Luego lo que son las sensaciones usando la maquina... geniales, aunque he de decir que he encontrado algunos "peros", uno de ellos es la emulación, no va suave, y no se porqué, porque para los juegos que son... deberia de ir sobrada, pero no, va a "saltos", da igual si pones Pac-man o Galaga, no van finos. Otra cosa que no me ha terminado de convencer es el sonido, se escucha un zumbido en los altavoces, da igual a que volumen lo pongas, eso siempre está. Y por ultimo... el stick, es horroroso. Todo lo demás, lo que es el arte de la maquina, sensaciones, montaje y tal... genial.
