When a central A/C system stops working, 95% of the time (in my personal experience) it’s one of three things – a clogged drain line, a bad contactor switch, or a bad capacitor. This one arrived in perfect condition, and tested out at exactly 7.59 uF.If you don’t know anything about how these work, do yourself a favor and ask for help. Changing this out is a simple 5-minute job, but capacitors store electricity, and can potentially be fatal if you don’t respect them. Before you do anything, turn off all power to the system. Lay a screwdriver across both terminals of this VEXUNGA capacitor, and the installed one, before you touch it.
