Use it all the time to inspect my gemstones. A great tool you want to have!!!

The darkfield loupe is OK but the flashlight bulb burned out after 10 minutes of operation. Replaced with a minimag bulb and working now. Will probably replace with an actual minimag light for reliability.

I used to have one of these dark field loop set ups, lost it, thought I'd replace it with this one. Mistake. This product is ok, but the flashlight isn't as well made as the loop part is. The flashlight battery cover won't screw all the way in. I tried for over an hour, nothing wrong with the threads, even took the bulb end off & reassembled. Still won't seal. flashlight came on, once, then quit. cover was still 1/2 an inch from sealing! Flashlight is very cheaply made, really thin & flimsy feel to it. Had to buy another flashlight light to use the dark field loop at all! Not a good value, with extra cost. I'd look elsewhere for a better made dark field loop. The one I bought here years ago, was way more quality than this one. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this item.

We use these in optics inspection. This is the BEST set I’ve found so far; good images, magnification, extremely portable. BTW: toss the flashlight in the trash. There are much better ones online. Anything with a head <1” diameter works.

Flashlight it's supposed to be LED but it is regular bulb incandescent, second it stopped working after a few times piece of crap

The locking screw is way too small and delicate. The screw stripped out after just a couple of times. Now using tape to hold it together.

Don’t buy this garbage, the flash light is as bright as a spider eye when frog giggin!

The loupe works well and has nothing to complain about. The light is garbage though, I used it less than 10 times before it stopped working completely.

The darkfield loupe is fine, but the accompanying flashlight isn't. The flashlights' incandescent bulb blew within a few minutes of use. I returned the whole unit and ordered another. The same thing happened a second time. I've kept the loupe and will be ordering a more reliable flashlight. Be aware you may not be saving money with this dual unit.

Medium quality dark field loupe. Good for purpose. Torch not great. Product is NOT a polariscope. This should be removed from the description

This product would've been perfect if the torch actually worked.

The loupe is in very good condition, helpful, handy except of the flashlight but all in all it is satisfying product.

Overall, it’s a very good product. The flashlight that comes with it has lots of room for improvement though.
