Review: Big enough to cover entire shoulder, works great! Especially for post surgery! - This ice pack is amazing! I’ve had multiple shoulder surgeries and previously used the cold water pack and ice bucket the doctors say to purchase every time. Filling the bucket with ice, wrapping yourself in that Velcro madness of an ice pack contraption, and then hooking the bucket to the ice pack is a royal pain in the butt. Especially if you have to do it yourself, one handed. To make matters worse, the water pack doesn’t get below 32 F (0 C), and it warms up in about 10-15 minutes. My most recent surgeon told me to avoid that and just purchase ice packs (He’s also one of the nation’s top surgeons and is fixing what other doctor’s missed on my previous surgeries). This ice pack is foldable, and fits easily in your freezer. It takes a few hours to get cold initially, but that’s a given for any ice pack. When it’s time to ice, it still remains flexible while remaining extremely cold, and slips easily into the provided fabric sleeve which protects your skin and the furniture you sit on. The instructions say to cover your skin with a towel, but I apply it directly. The ice pack can be manipulated fairly well and I’m able to conform it to contact 90% of the skin on my shoulder. The sleeve has Velcro straps for a more secure fit, but I don’t even bother with that, as the ice pack is large enough cover my entire shoulder (front and back) and conforms to it easily. I simply sit on the couch with my back against the cushion, or prop myself lying down and it stays in place the entire time. Even after 30 minutes of icing the ice pack is still cold, and I don’t have to worry about dripping water or anything leaking. This is an amazing product, especially for the price! It’s a must have for any athlete, person who just had surgery, or someone who works out. If you’re having surgery and your doctor tells you to buy the “Cold therapy machine” aka ice bucket, PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT INSTEAD AND DO NOT BUY THAT EVIL CONTRAPTION (even if your doctor insists)!
Review: Easy to adjust to a person's knee and holds on well - I have used IceSleeve branded wraps for a few years for both knee and shoulder issues. They've worked well. Unfortunately, the material has worn out one the knee version (no longer holds) and the knee sleeve needed replaced. IceSleeve markets independently, not on desertcart so I looked for something similar and found this. It works well with my IceSleeve cold packs as well as the pack supplied. It is easy to adjust such that it holds well on my knee giving me relief for my meniscus injury. The material that the Velcro attaches to seems a bit more robust than what my previous IceSleeve was made from so I'm hoping for a several years of use before the Velcro attachment system wears out. I will also comment that if you expect these to hold their position when you walk around, you may be disappointed. The taper of your leg going from larger to smaller just sets you up for these falling down when you walk around. My old IceSleeve was the same way. You get the best effect on your knee when you rest and elevate the knee with the ice pack on it!

This ice pack is amazing! I’ve had multiple shoulder surgeries and previously used the cold water pack and ice bucket the doctors say to purchase every time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Icing use: works great w modifications

This is for use of it for ICING lower back pain: first of all the review who said the model wearing it wrong bse it's not to be used on the skin is wrong. The thick mesh is plenty protection for it not to burn your skin - use on skin if you want a "ice pack" it's still not cold enough for me UNLESS you put both ice badders that it comes w into the mesh pocket - doing that that = more pressure on your back = colder. It has plenty of elastic stretch to fit my 46" waist & then some. I like my ice packs very cold hence the word "Ice" Pack- it seems lots of reviewers are satisfied with a "cold" pack: - wearing it walking around? -yes but it slips down so I used my generic back brace to hold it in place. Perfect! Do these modifications & you'll get the icepack you are looking for. This "put in freezer for 30 min then stays cold for 2 hrs" is ridiculous- they must be getting comped. I've several icepacks & all need to be in freezer for 2.5 hrs to maintain a 30 min ice-like cold. I hope I answered some questions.
