The flavor and sweetness gets lost. But, these Swealthy Stix have been just that little sweet and sour crunchy candy taste I want when I have a craving in the afternoon or even at night after dinner. They travel well in my purse too. They do not raise my blood sugar at all. I did several finger prick tests to see if they would. I did think the Sweet Tea flavor was going to be weird just eating out of the package. Turned out to be the best one of the bunch. Between the search query, packaging, and flavors, I assumed that these were water flavor packets. They're not. On the back of the box, for the instructions, it says to eat the powder as a candy substitute. I tried to mix it into a glass of water anyway, but it doesn't dissolve AT ALL. And as a candy substitute? Astringent. Not sour enough to compare to Fun Dip or Pixie Stix, and no popping to compete with Pop Rocks. Overall, disgusting and disappointing. And the worst part? Not eligible for return or refund.
