Great way to color foods people. Does alter the flavor noticably but I like it. For intense dark purple requires a little more experimentation but too little can make it more of a blue color. And it adds a little bit of a health boost. For cupcakes I recommend replacing 20% of the flour with the powder and increase the baking powder about 15% and adding at least one extra egg per batch

Great natural alternative to food coloring. I used this in a sourdough loaf for a birthday and it turned out great! The taste was not affected.

I add it to my pancake batter, adds beautiful color and some flavor. I believe it is healthy. But store and use it carefully because it can stain.
