Main reason was Netflix and built in WiFi. We knew it was not cutting edge model but it had minimum requirements we were looking for. Very light device with amazing picture definition and very estable WiFi connection. Set up was a piece of cake and we could try Netflix after 10 minutes. Still have to go trough all features and learn on our on as manual regards solely to TV set. Only minor thing is the sound, as speakers are not so potent but one can solve that with a hometheater, which is not her mother's case. Bear in mind it is a full HD TV set with lots of features for less than U$450,00!!!! Excellent bargain!! Well, I am editing this review to add what I suspected but had to try before affirming: some Wireless keyboards and mice will fully function with this TV set. The one I purchased was a Microsoft. All I had to do was to plug the USB adapter on TV side port and "presto"!! Web browsing is now available to my wife's mother, who is 70 and can now browse the internet from the comfort of her bed!! You must get used to a few adjustments in how to opperate it. You use the mouse to click where you want; whenever you want to write use wireless keyboard but, when enetering any website which requires your login and password, "enter" (after inputting login and password) must be done with the mouse. If you are posting something on facebook, for instance, after writting everything you need, press the 'enter' key so that Samsung virtual keyboard will disappear and then use mouse to click on 'post'. This is important hint, because Samsung's virtual keyboard can be covering "post" icon and thus preventing you from posting. Also interesting is the zoom. She uses it in 150% when on facebook website. This is the way it works with Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800. I don't know how other wireless devices will interact with Samsung 32UNEH5300. However, I guarantee my experience when testing it for my mom's mom (I just don't like calling her mother-in-law) was great!! Some Youtube videos will not be as good as Netflix, but mostly due to the quality they were recorded, web traffic and your download speed. I needed a TV for my bedroom and wasn't sure if I should buy a small TV (32") for my bedroom or put the one I have (40") in my bedroom and buy a larger size TV for my living room. On one hand, why not buy a bigger TV, on another hand, I could buy a $350 TV right away, and with a bigger one I would have to wait. SO I decided I didn't wanna wait and bought a 32" TV for my bedroom. My other TV is a Samsung, too, and I LOVE the quality. I love everything about it. It's easy to operate, it has 2 USB ports, and my external drive works perfectly with it. It reads and plays all my movies fine, and I like it that it properly displays that file system om my external drive. I don't have cable, so I use it only for watching movies. It can be used to browse internet, but I am not interested in doing that, I would rather use a laptop. I had no problems connecting it to my WiFi, and there is no delay in displaying. I am a Prime desertcart member, so now I can watch HD movies for free! What a treat! My only suggestion is that I could set up the view of my interactive screen, cause it has lots of stuff (kids, fitness, whatever) that I don't need, and there is no way to customize it. Also, what I am not sure I like, I would like to have an option for TV to start where I turned it off. Since I don't have cable, and, frankly, mostly use my TV to watch movies on desertcart (or movies from my external drive), I am kind of annoyed that it always starts trying to find signal and displaying white noise. Then I have to load an interactive panel, once again, navigate to desertcart app, wait for it to load. What would be nice is to turn the TV on and just have my desertcart app already loaded. Also, an on-board DVD player would definitely help with this model, but I am just being picky here. Why is it listed as 120hz** A: Samsung has its own special 'clear motion rate' that they use to determine the hz level. Other companys do it to with their own wording. Basically in short its like saying....samsungs proprietary image processor provides a smoother and cleaner image than the general old school version or knockoff brand and that being said lends the image to look like its 120hz. When combined with the led backlit technology and the panels 60hz refresh rate its basically equivalent to the modern day 120hz models. I have 4 HDTVs and I can tell you that there is a huge difference between samsung and other brands. This particular tv I have hooked up straight to the cable so I don't even get the luxury's of having crystal clear HDTV you get from having a cable box with HDTV features. I have the brightness turned down all the way to 0 as well lol since its in a bedroom with blacked out curtains. The TV is solid the apps are solid and the fact that samsung is working on an adapter to constantly update the smart features is awesome. The only down side is that this is the start of a new erra. OLED is going to be the norm. Google it for more info but basically your going to get deeper blacks with it because your turning LEDs off not hiding them. For what its worth its an awesome low end smart TV with solid features, images, HDMI! hello-3 i think thats more than my 65" samsung has. Keeping it at 40 inches is a good small-med sized room TV, my recommendation is to get a 46" if you want it for a medium sized room and is you want a living room TV go 55". I regret my 65" purchase - to big. Streatches pixels and makes mediocre cable look terrible because you see every flaw.
