Excellent TV – Great Value for Money
I am extremely pleased with this TV. The picture quality is excellent, with sharp detail, vibrant colours and impressive 4K resolution. Setup was straightforward, and the smart TV features are easy to use and responsive. The sound quality is perfectly adequate for everyday viewing, and the overall design looks modern and stylish in my living room.Delivery was also excellent. The TV arrived promptly via Royal Mail and was well packaged with no issues. For the price, I think the Hisense 50” 50E6QTUK 4K Ultra HD Smart TV is outstanding value. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a quality 50-inch 4K smart TV without spending a fortune.

Excellent set, excellent value. Delighted.
We originally bought (from Amazon as well) the TCL 65C6KS-UK on reading the review in What Hi-Fi who rated it their TV of the year for 2025. It's dreadful, and 2 days later it was booked to return for refund and we decided to try the Hisense 65" 65E6QTUK instead, on offer at £94 less than the TCL! See my one star review for the TCL on that product page. The Hisense is excellent value and we are delighted. So much so, I've ordered one more to update other sets in the house and anticipate ordering another again. The picture is so clear. Rendering is smooth, bright, all the streaming apps work brilliantly and every bit as clear as Freeview HD if not more so. The Dolby Audio in to my Yamaha receiver and speakers is a definite step up from our last set. We have also tried the TV speakers and with a couple of moderate settings changes, principally turning off the surround sound and setting the audio for wall mounting (we haven't mounted the set on the wall) the audio is respectable enough given the limitations of the speakers in the set. We didn't have to alter the picture settings at all. We just use standard mode in the day and eco at night (50% brightness). We find that the VIDAA OS works well. Freely was a very very pleasant and welcome surprise. The channel guide seamlessly integrates the Freeview/Freesat Channels with main iPlayer streaming apps. Consequently you get channels that are only broadcast SD on Freesat and Freeview as their streaming HD equivalents accessible from the programme guide and channel number buttons. This can also be paused and rewound for channels that support that too. Very good and convenient. The one slight drawback is that you don't get the numbers of apps that you get with the Amazon Fire OS but this is easily remedied with a £35 4k firestick if that matters to you. However there is the VIDAA OS Channels+ streaming channels to compensate. All the main apps are supported however.I have no hesitation in recommending the set. It's excellent value and excellent for real world day to day viewing. We're delighted.

Fantastic tv with a few quirks to know
**APPLE AIRPLAY FIX IN THIS REVIEW**Fantastic tv with a few quirks to know.Quick summary:Pros:-Amazing value-Colours, viewing angle, and image quality is great-Despite its size it can still fit tv stands up to around 100cm (mine is 110cm)-Operating system is swift and not ugly-Great customer service (I managed to reach a real human over the phone at Hisense to fix my issuesCons:-This sort of screen has a lot glare, position carefully-Need to faff a bit on start up to turn off all the weird settings like grain reduction (I like seeing film grain)-Default sound quality is a bit weak, sounds thin and muffled, quick solution is to change the default sound profile to either theatre' or 'music'. I don't find the adaptive sound/image quality setting does much.-Be prepared to do a few installations and restarts when you get it. It's almost mandatory that you'll have to try a few installations/factory resets, and have the mains unplugged for about 5-10 mins after the first update to make sure it does a full update/installation when you next switch it on-Smart TVs are by design a bit invasive with privacy policies and details etc. YMMV.**APPLE AIRPLAY**This tv officially supports AirPlay. This is my second Hisense tv. The first was a 40" which I returned due to being a bit small for my room. The 40" had an issue where Apple Airplay was not available to select out the box. A simple hard reset taking out the mains plug for 60 seconds then switching back on worked, where I could then magically use airplay!HOWEVER - on this 58" model I could not seem to get airplay working despite the numerous attempts between updates, factory resets, and unplugging the mains for up to 10mins.Each time I attempted to use AirPlay, it would try to do an update which failed each time. When I called Hisense, it turned out this was a well known issue where sometimes, the updates do not fully work via WiFi connection for some reason. The solution was to use my mobile phone as a hotspot, select AirPlay again (to trigger the relevant update prompt), and then attempt the update. It magically worked using my phone as a hotspot! I had not found this solution anywhere online so thought to share.

Don't hesitate...
Hisense 65E6QTUK 65" QLED – Real World ReviewI didn’t realise how much my previous TV had been irritating me until I replaced it with the Hisense 65E6QTUK.The old TCL Fire TV constantly felt unstable:random HDMI dropouts, sluggish menus, audio handshake issues,HDR confusion, laggy EPG,buffering weirdness, and a general feeling that every viewing session might turn into troubleshooting. This Hisense has been the complete opposite.Setup & First ImpressionsWithin minutes:Xbox Series X detected HDR10 correctly,FIFA and Star Wars cutscenes looked cinematic,Plex connected instantly to my upstairs server, live TV and catch-up loaded quickly, and the VIDAA interface felt responsive rather than bloated. No messing about. No fighting menus. No strange behaviour. It just worked.Picture QualityThe biggest surprise has been how good the QLED panel looks in real-world use.Games like FC26 and Battlefront II suddenly feel genuinely cinematic:deep blacks, strong HDR highlights, vivid colours, smooth motion, and excellent contrast.Football broadcasts look superb too. Bright reds and greens pop without looking radioactive, and motion handling during fast camera pans has been consistently smooth.Anime looked incredible as well. Infinity Castle especially looked absolutely stunning on this panel.Classic films benefit too. Watching the original Star Wars trilogy on a large HDR-capable screen with proper contrast and colour depth felt fantastic.Gaming PerformanceThis is where the difference became obvious. The TCL constantly felt unreliable with the Xbox:signal blackouts,HDR switching issues, intermittent instability, and general inconsistency. The Hisense has been rock solid. Not a single dropout.Gameplay feels smooth, menus are instant, and cutscenes finally look like showcase material rather than compressed streaming video.I genuinely spent most of the evening grinning at it.VIDAA Operating SystemVIDAA deserves credit.I expected a cheap-feeling smart TV interface, but it’s actually:fast, clean, responsive, and easy to navigate.Apps launch quickly. The EPG responds instantly. Catch-up services work properly. The mobile companion app is excellent.Compared to the cluttered Fire TV experience, this feels streamlined and efficient.Plex PerformancePlex connected immediately to my upstairs server with virtually no setup hassle.Film playback has been flawless. Music playback is excellent too, though gapless transitions between DJ mixes could still be smoother as tracks briefly buffer between songs. For films and TV, though, it’s been superb.SoundPaired with a decent soundbar, the setup becomes surprisingly cinematic for the money.Space battles, football atmospheres, and HDR films all carry real impact now instead of sounding thin and compressed.Final VerdictThe best thing about this TV is simple:It disappears. You stop thinking about:settings,HDMI issues,HDR negotiation, buffering, crashes, and system glitches……and just enjoy films, games and music. That’s what a good TV should do.For the money, the Hisense 65E6QTUK has been an absolute belter.

DISAPPOINTED TRULY AWFUL PICTURE NOT REFLECTING REAL LIFE COLOURS AT ALL DULL
I was very disappointed. The picture is a disaster! Picture mode 'Dynamic' turns all peoples faces into bright yellow with ocean blue hue in the background, 'Cinematic' and 'Filmmaker' turns the whole screen to green hue. I tried to set up the picture mode, including contrast, brightness etc and I was not able to bring the picture quality to the same perfect pure spectrum colour of my 2014 Samsung that I have in my bedroom. My Sumsang keeps a stable bright beautiful picture mode with realistic skin colours of people. This Hinsense makes everyone with yellow faces or green faces, also I cannot see peoples faces in scenes that are in darkness and yet I can see their faces in scene in darkness on my Samsung old 2014 model. Also, it keeps changing picture hues automatically and often. Examples someone moves on TV suddenly the picture hue has changed. I am so disappointed that I will have to return it and now i am afraid to buy new models of TV, maybe I need to stick to my old good small bedroom Samsung?
