Perfect Vacation Shoes for the Beach and Water
I bought these Vibram FiveFingers V-Aqua shoes for a trip to the Dominican Republic, and they turned out to be one of the best purchases I made for the vacation. They were perfect for walking around the beach, exploring the resort, and anywhere I knew I’d be in and out of the water. They drain quickly, dry fast, and never felt heavy or uncomfortable after getting wet. What I love most is how they feel. They give you that barefoot sensation with excellent flexibility, but still provide the protection and grip of a regular shoe. Whether I was walking on sand, pavement, or around the pool, they were comfortable all day and gave me plenty of confidence on wet surfaces. If you’re planning a beach vacation, cruise, or any trip where you’ll be around the water, I highly recommend these. They were comfortable from day one, packed easily in my luggage, and ended up being one of the most-used items I brought with me.

Five fingers
I like these shoes. They are very smooth inside and easy to wear it. I read reviews before buying them and was thinking it would be difficult to slip my toes into slots. But I found out that was not the case for me. Now, I can use these at the beach.

Get what you pay for (in a good way)
This is the 5th pair of shoes that I had ordered during my mission to find the perfect river shoes for kayaking and other water activities. Initially I was looking in the $25-$40 range. I tried two pairs of strappy sandalls and two pairs of mesh river shoes with toe indentations. I was hoping I could find a cheaper alternative to the Vibrams that I knew were great but I had no such luck. All four of the previous pairs that I received had issues with fit and comfort so I ended up returning them all. Folks, this is it. These shoes are amazing. I know the price tag is a bit steep but you get what you pay for. I usually wear size 11 shoes but I knew that I wanted these to be snug and read reviews which recommended sizing down so I went with the 9.5-10 size and ooooh baby, they fit like a glove. There is no uncomfortable rubbing anywhere, especially on the back of the ankle which is a concern that I had. I even got a bad abrasion on my small toe from going for a walk in my vans without socks. This happened the day that these Vibrams arrived and I was worried that my toe going into the toe pocket would rub on it as I walked and cause me pain but I don't even notice it. they are seriously comfortable. Some reviewers have mentioned the ankle strap not having enough velcro to tighten them to their liking and I agree that it could be extended just a little more but the strap that goes over the foot is plenty to secure the shoe. I put this to the test. During my first kayak outing my friend and I stopped at the side of the river and when we stepped out of our boats we immediately sank shin deep into the mud. Alarm bells immediately went off in my head because I had read reviews about the shoes being insecure and coming off. I didn't want to lose one of my brand new shoes but I had no choice. I had to get my foot unstuck. Well I finally got my foot free of the mud and the shoe didn't budge at all I walked in the mud a bit more and felt totally confident that the shoes were secure. I also read a review about concerns of the black shoes getting too hot. I don't know where that person lives or how hot it is but I have gone on multiple 20-30 minute walks on paved trails in 95-100 degree weather and they get a little warm but nowhere close to the point of being unable to wear them. Maybe they just have sensitive feet. The only question remaining is whether they will hold up over time. I saw some reviews that concerned me but as I said I have owned Vibrams before and they endured a lot of abuse before finally biting the dust (probably due to my own negligence) so I am optimistic that if I take care of these they are going to last. TLDR: Buy once, cry once. Shell out the extra money for these over a cheaper alternative. Order one size down. You won't be disappointed.

Good but room for improvement
First of all I feel the size fits true. I typically wear size 45 euro which is what I ordered and they fit great. Regarding the comments made by a couple of other reviewers, I agree the back heel strap is definitely too long. The Velcro barely connects due to the strap being about 2” too long. It seems to be holding ok, I’ll probably just trim the excess strap off so it’s not flopping around. Lastly, for a shoe built for water use I’m surprised they didn’t attempt to make it a little more sand friendly. The Velcro tends to hold a lot of sand which it releases all over the floors for days. A different strap design is advised. Otherwise, the shoes are super comfy and also great in the water. Drainage is really good. I’m happy with the purchase and would buy again. Expecting to get many years of use out of them.

Amazing minimal shoe
Lightweight, barefoot style shoes. You do want to run these snug. Velcro makes it very easy to adjust tightness and easily take on and off. Love these four water shoes. They do have a durable rubber bottom that is decent with grip. They don’t provide any comfort as far as cushion. But for a River shoe or Kayak shoe, this is exactly what you want. Allows you to fill the ground and know where you’re standing. Wouldn’t recommend for long walks if you don’t have strong feet. Getting your toes in the right spots can be tricky but once you get the hang of it, it is easy.

One toe per finger! 😊
The European size 42 fits my 9.5 USA wide feet fine, just like my 10 year old pair I'm replacing. Remember, one toe per Vibram finger! 😝

I became a Vibram supporter because of these
Fantastic shoe. I used these as boat/water shoes for a vacation and absolutely fell in love with them. I also walked A LOT in them, which they don’t advise you to do without giving yourself a grace period to gradually get used to them. The long and short of it is that they definitely take a little getting used to but once you do get used to them, normal shoes will feel totally wrong. I definitely wouldn’t recommend these for use as your main walking shoes because they’re very, very thin and offer minimal support. Vibram has other offerings that cater to that purpose much better. As far as shoes for doing stuff in and around the water, I couldn’t have asked for much better. If you’re even considering them you’re probably the type of person that would enjoy them and would enjoy telling people that despite how weird they look they are extremely comfortable and feel natural. My only criticism is that the Velcro straps on these shoes aren’t really fit for purpose. They’re really long and the Velcro bits are on the end, like they’re made for someone with a really bulky foot. I’m going to fix that myself by cutting the straps shorter and supergluing the Velcro pieces where I’d like.

Not ideal for G Land, but they worked
In Indonesia there is a spot where you need to walk across 200 yards of reef to get to the waves and I was told I should take booties. I hate surfing in booties, so I wasn’t excited about this to begin with. I have used actual surf booties before and they were terrible for feel. With these I actually could feel the board and didn’t take long to adjust to them. However.. the Velcro straps are worthless. Obviously not designed for surfing or for staying on feet. I nearly lost them several times. The Straps don’t have enough Velcro, you cant cinch them down. I have no idea who would recommend buying these larger than you expect.. I have a narrow foot and wear size 11 Nike frees for running and i bought a size 43. They fit fairly snug when I tried them on but after some ocean use they stretched out. My surf buddy has another pair of vibrams with a cinch strap and they did not have issues. Skip these and make sure you get a proper strap to cinch these on if you are going to use them in big surf. I left mine for one of the staff members at Bobby’s camp and he was stoked to use them for walking on the reef to fish - they would be perfect for that.

Super
Scarpe ideali per l'estate soprattutto se si sta sempre in movimento. Ottime in acqua e fuori, come non sentire si asciugano e traspirano non creando la sgradevole sensazione di calore umido. Vestibilità del numero giusta.

unable to return, money lost
Make sure to test them right when you buy them. And I mean, use them 2 days straight, even if you're just walking in your home. This things have some seams that can hurt and produce rash and bleeding. I want my money back. I'd also like an apology for the damages their low quality seams did to me, but I'll be happy with my money back at least.

Ottime, calzata perfetta, ottima protezione

I’m a dork. I love them.
Use them unless in work boots. I live on a river and they are like reef boots for surfing but waaay better.
