Review: Fantastic Monitor. - desertcart, please read the note at the bottom of this review. I was lucky to get a fresh one straight out of the box. I have only had it a day now, and have to say this is one of the best monitors I have used. Using it with an Gefore RT2060 8gb video card, and using it on display port, the quality of the picture is fantastic, and the 144hz refresh rate makes gaming look fab. Even on non-gaming things, it looks impressive, and even just quickly jumping over to my flat monitor to write this review, the eyestrain is noticable when not using a curved screen. Considering I have astigmatism in both eyes, the curved display is awesome. I read a lot of the reviews on this, so was really worried when I ordered it, but when I opened the box, it had a dent in it, then I panicked. I rolled over the box and found it was fresh as, and the tape was factory tape, as no matter how awesome you are, getting a box repacked perfectly is not easy. I opened it, and everything was good. Downsides so far. 1: On Outer Worlds, I have noticed a bit of pixilation in the clouds, I am sure that it is a setting thing, but it is noticable. I will check this. 2: The little button to turn on the monitor is annoying as has been mentioned. The little joystick behind it is going to take some getting used to, but the menu is awesome. 3: It isn't light. Only reason I mention this, is that I have had major spinal surgery, and it wore me out setting it up. So fellow back surgery buyers, get someone to do the lifting for you. 4: Once you go curved, you don't want to go back. 5: Almost forgot. When you get this monitor, and you turn your rig on, you may lose sound as it has a speaker in there, which I don't recall reading about. Make sure before you play anything, that you are switched to your main source. I think there should be a way to disable it. Pros. 1: The clarity is nuts! N.V.T.S nuts. I so can't wait to play Mechwarrior 5 and Elder Scrolls Online with this baby. 2: The settings are fantastic, and you really do need to drop the brightness down. I have it around 75 percent, and it is definitely a lot better at that level. 3: It does a really nice flat colour option, where it is like reading paper and not a monitor. I think that will be handy for when I am writing or reviewing stuff. 4: Display port is fantastic. I didn't have to worry about HDMI as my graphics card has 3 display ports on it, so there was no option for me. The clarity as I have mentioned is just awesome. 5: The curved screen does really help. Fantastic monitor in many ways. Thanks Samsung for keeping up your quality products. I know you have hit and misses, but this is true with all companies, but unlike a lot of your competition, you are consistently good. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ desertcart. Please fix your packing paper, it literally smells like used nappies. I smelt it on my arms for about an hour afterwards.
Review: Excellent Monitors - Great panel, great value for 1440p @ 144hz. I bought mine at £248 for the first one, and £260 for the 2nd. The 3rd one will come after I've paid for Christmas! There arent many panels that do both 1440 and 144 for less than £300 - and fewer good ones for less than £400 - and when you are setting a 3x setup, getting three panels for less than £800 as opposed to over £1200 is a massive saving. Read through a good few comments here, and just a few points: 1. The power supply is bespoke - it fits into either a Euro or UK fitment (both of which are part of the SKU and both of which should be supplied). Caution if you are sourcing second hand 2. The power supply is however a fit and forget - DO NOT PLUG IT INTO THE WRONG FITMENT (as it will not come out without a chisel if someone does. Trust me on that :( -DONT BUY REFURB: I'm sure most of the comments here about the plug relate to 3rd party or refurb sales. They DO come with UK / EU plate adaptor on the smart plug if you buy it new. 3. Built in Sound - no idea how to get it working and no idea how to disable it - so occasionally, PC will want to out to it by default. I'm presuming its a DisplayPort thing. A bit of Windows device management sorts it. 4. Menu joystick/button/nipple. Fiddly at first, but you get used to it. Good menu options. easy to use. I prefer it now to buttons. 5. Curve - My first experience with a curved screen. colour me impressed. 6. Panel quality/brightness/contrast/consistency - The real tell. These are all first class. No dead pixels, very little bleed, vibrant colour, really bright screen (about 80% is plenty for me). Colour profiles are pretty good too - though I tend to just use "in your face brightness for gaming", "vivid" for watching movies and "warm" for reading/research. 7. Other stuff - They arent light. If mounting on VESA, take the mountain to Mohammed, save yourself!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality monitor for a good price
*by L***M on 1 January 2020*

- Its super bright but can obviously be turned down - The high refresh rate and low response time makes it great for gaming - If you are deciding between 1080p amd 1440p let me tell you 1440p is so much better. You won't believe it until you see it. - Its curved. Who doesn't want a curved monitor like fr. The only annoying thing is that the power brick once attached to the plug can't be removed. Its only annoying if you move to a different country with your monitor you will need to buy a completely new power brick as the old one will have the plug from the previous country perminantely attached to it.
