Great sight, holds zero through 1000 rounds so far with no issues.Only gripe I have with this is… OSIGHT SE. Are we overpaying?

I bought this mini optic for my new S&W Performance Center M&P Shield Plus 9mm ACP. The subcompact pistol comes with a CT Red Dot which is subpar to the features that Holosun provides. This Green Dot optic fits the gun perfectly thanks to the included baseplate and allows me to co-witness the fiber sights like the original optic. It even fit the same Vedder IWB holster. The green dot stands out better in all lighting conditions than the red, the battery is long lasting and easy to replace, the solar backup provides ease of mind, and remains accurate through hundreds of rounds fired. The enclosed housing makes it easy to clean and keeps dust and rain out of the optic. Installation was a breeze. I used a red 9mm bore-sighter to sight in the optic at 15 meters. It's a bit pricey compared to other Holosun and CT options but well worth the money.

Mounted on a Sig p365 X Macro Comp. It works with or without the included RMS mounting plate. However, if you mount it without the RMS plate, you need to sand a couple millimeters off the mounting screws or the slide will bind. After getting it mounted and sighted, it has been rock solid. Hundreds of rounds through and it stays zeroed. I love the option of 3 reticles. I'm not sure that I like the auto-brightness because there have been times I have been shooting outdoors and I've been in the shade and my target was in the sun and I couldn't see the reticle because the sight dimmed the reticle since I was in the shade. The reticle is excellent and bright when in a well-lit area, though. In my house in the dark, the reticle is OK. I still wish it was still a little brighter than what the auto-brightness feature makes it. So, I have set the brightness to a constant level that works for me whether I am in the bright outdoors or in dim light. That's the only negative I have found to this sight. Be sure to read the directions so you know how to switch between modes and reticles otherwise the button pushing can be frustrating. I would rate this sight 9/10 with -1 point for the reticle being too dim in low light. Otherwise excellent Green Dot Sight.

Auto brightness hasn't worked very well for me. If you're inside or under cover, looking out into daylight, that's a problem. Which is just an inherent flaw of how the sensor works. So I just leave it on a fairly high setting and pair it with a light.Also can't lock the buttons in Auto mode. It can be effectively locked in a static setting, but this feature should be built in to any/every mode. Especially something made primarily for carry, that's shoved into a tight space where buttons can easily be compressed accidentally. I had this happen just against my skin.Other than that, it's a fantastic sight, and Holosun has gained a new loyal customer. I got 2. Fits great on a P365. Put the other one on an 11" AR. Will likely swap the latter for something with a little bit larger window at some point, but I can reliably ring torso steel at 200yd handheld. It's a very precise optic.Would really like to see a lock setting added to every mode in future products. And I would personally prefer the reticle selections that are on the 507COMP. But highly recommend, regardless.
