Glasgow Museums Seventeenth-Century Costume

A really good book for those who are looking into varies textiles in Braintree and clothing from the time period.

Beautiful photos and great information. Asset to collection

This is a beautiful book, but the title presentation is misleading, so if you a broad set of pictorial information about the entire 17th century this is not the place to find it. Glasgow Museum is much more the point than 17th century costume.The main pictorial information is about surface embellishments, with detailed information about individual items in the Glasgow Museum collection. Waistcoats, coifs, bags, hats, gloves yes. But fashion? not so much.

A book very usefull and interesting, for people like me, who is preparing a thesis on Baroque costume. Very detailed and understandable. Really good and clear images for people like me studying costume for the show. I recommend it to everybody.Un libro molto utile e interessante, per chi come me, che sta preparando una tesi sul costume barocco. Molto dettagliato e comprensibile. Davvero immagini buone e chiare per le persone come me che studiano costume per lo spettacolo. Lo consiglio a tutti.
