Frida Baby NoseFrida SnotSucker Nasal Aspirator for Baby, 4 Hygiene Filters

Ok, so I shop on amazon ALL the time and I have never left a review before this! But I love the Nosefrida so much I just had to share my opinion! My son is 6 weeks old and we both have been getting over a cold for the past 10 days! But he still has a ton of congestion and it even causes him to have this scary "rattling" noise in his chest! (Doctor assured me it's nothing but loose mucus and is normal) But it bothers him all day and especially when he sleeps!! Now, I know everyone raves about the hospital bulb syringes but I, unfortunately, forgot mine in the hospital when I left and have since purchased every bulb syringe I could find and have had NO success!! I have never been able to get more than just a tiny bit of snot out of his nose at a time! Not nearly enough to make him comfortable! I have even tried using the saline drops first....NADA!! And in the mean time my son has, of course, learned to hate anything near his nose!! So I'm not going to sit here and lie and say that the Nosefrida doesn't make him cry! He is 6 weeks old.....of course he is going to cry! (And let me add that he is a very happy baby most of the time) He is not crying because it is painful, he is crying because he just doesn't like it! Sometimes he doesn't like it when I change his diaper or give him a bath but i'm still gonna do it! But I don't understand parents who gave this a bad review because their baby cried.....it's not about them liking it, it's about them being able to breathe!! Which in my opinion is way more important! I respect people's opinions but a baby turning red and screaming does not mean a product doesn't work. My kid did that with every bulb syringe, even with the all mighty hospital syringe. Anyway, I used the Nosefrida for the first time today and it worked like magic!! I put a few drops of saline in his nose, waited a few seconds and sucked! Poof, long white boogers came right out of his nose! (Gross, I know) But, I have never been so happy about boogers in my life!! While my husband, sister-in-law, and I danced around the room in celebration, my son was crying for a bit because I'm sure he couldn't see the joy in the situation. He stopped crying after a few min and that was that!! No psychological damage done. Totally worth it. Also, a few people mentioned it being "too gross"...umm....I don't know how other people's kids are, but I have to deal with FAR worse thing's than boogers near my mouth! LOL! My son has incredible aim every time I change his diapers. He also has perfect timing when it comes to spitting up on mommy's clean shirt..or in my hair...so the Nosefrida is the least of my problems. Now, I've only used it once so I don't know about people's concerns about catching their baby's colds....but again I feel like that is just as likely to happen from just being around each other so much. And I also didn't have any problems with bleeding or cutting my baby's nose with the Nosefrida either....it's meant to be over sized so that you can't push it too far into their little nostrils and hurt them.....Just place it far enough to plug up the nostril so that you can get enough suction from the tube and that's it. And I didn't feel that you need very much lung capacity either. Again, I think it's all about getting the technique right! It might take a few tries;) This is a great product! It almost makes me wonder why I didn't think of it myself! LOL! Just remember to read the instructions, be patient, keep trying and don't expect your little baby to keep still during the process! Nobody likes to hear their baby cry but when it comes to my son either crying like crazy for 5 min or breathing well at night then my choice will always be the latter! Good luck!!

I’ve purchased this for the second time, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best baby products I’ve ever owned. There are so many electric nasal aspirators on the market now, but I still prefer this one. It’s simple, effective, and gives you much better control. It removes mucus quickly and works exactly when you need it. If you have a baby or a toddler, I truly recommend keeping one at home. It’s one of those simple products that doesn’t look impressive at first, but once you use it, you realize how useful it is. Highly recommend to every parent

My baby's pediatrician told us to buy this product, specifically, and toss our ineffective, germ-trapping, mold-growing nasal aspirators (like the kind the hospital sends home). So I knew I would buy it; my biggest question was whether or not I needed to buy the combo-pack that came with a zillion extra filters or not. I'll answer that, as well as highlight some other product features/thoughts. 1. I am glad we didn't buy 20 extra filters! They were only a few bucks, so you can't really go wrong either way, but I doubt we'll be needing any more in the foreseeable future. The Frida comes with 4 filters, so you have spares. I think the Frida says something CYA-ish like "change filter with each use," but the snot has NEVER come up the tube far enough to get even remotely close to filter. It really just stays close to the tip down there. Perhaps there are a few children with exceptional (literally) snot to this scenario or older children with copious amounts of mucous, but I can't see that being the case very often. Some reviewers have even reported rinsing out the filter and, while I don't see why that wouldn't work, my opinion is that these filters last so long that IF you manage to dirty your filter, it's probably time to throw it out and use a new one just for the heck of it. I've had mine for at least 2 months, probably 6-10 uses, and am still using the first filter. I hope that helps; it was hard for me to find a definitive answer about filter longevity from reading the reviews so I wanted to answer thoroughly. 2. I thought the concept of "sucking" up my baby's nasal congestion didn't bother me at all; I felt very insulated from the grossness because of the long tubing and filter (...and I'm a nurse). So I was shocked when I went to use this for the first time and nearly gagged. It was a little hard to get used to mentally, but after just two or three uses, it didn't even faze me anymore. 3. So easy to clean. Just take it apart and wash or rinse it. It's also dishwasher-safe (top rack). Doesn't get easier than that. There's no way you're getting one of those hospital-style aspirators clean. EVER. 4. Despite being a germaphobe, I didn't bother to sterilize this before it's maiden voyage. It comes clean from the package, it has minimal contact with my baby (and zero internal/mouth/hands contact), and it's sucking up SNOT for goodness sake. It's not exactly a sterile procedure to begin with, but it can't hurt to sterilize or toss it in the dishwasher if you feel better that way. But if you're wondering if you're a horrible parent for using it straight from the box...I don't think it's a big deal. I certainly didn't see the hospital nurses boiling my baby's aspirator before they shoved it down her orifices. 5. The biggest question is DOES THIS WORK? Well...YES. Thin or thick, this gets them all! -Sucking by mouth (rather than squeezing that horrible bulb) allows sustained suction long enough to actually grab the boogers (well, til you run out of breath). Even if you only get them partially out of the nose, you can easily wipe them away with a soft kleenex; but its actually not hard to get ALL the goopies out. -You can SEE if you're getting boogers out because the chamber is CLEAR. (Don't you hate the guessing game with the bulb suctions, trying to gauge by the slurpy sound whether you're making any progress in there?) -You can control the force of the suction, so you're not accidentally sucking your kid's brain out or giving them a partial lobectomy when you release the bulb. -And you can wiggle the tip around at different angles (again, visualizing which angles are getting the snot out as you do it). You can't do that with the bulbs because trying to release bulb pressure while navigating the tip is too hard. But the tubing separates the suction from the tip enough that you can maneuver the tip without compromising the suction. 6. Does baby hate it? Mine doesn't love it, but she doesn't hate it either. Sometimes she squirms and fusses or cries, sometimes she's pretty calm. But regardless, if you've ever had a baby that won't sleep or won't eat or won't stop crying because she can't breathe, pissing her off for a harmless 60 seconds is so worth it when she takes a deep breath, stops crying, smiles a little bit, and eats or sleeps or coos. It's "all natural," plus there really aren't many medications you can give an infant.

Wow, this product is amazing. The pediatrician had recommended it to me and I had already bought several things from the Frida Baby brand, but this product really convinced me. Removing the mucus from my baby was much easier than traditional products and literally, my baby fell asleep almost instantly of not having the mucus that bothered him. And the best thing is that you can handle it alone and there is no danger of hurting the baby.

After using the NoseFrida with all three of my babies, I can confidently say it's one of the best baby products I've ever purchased. It works far better than any electronic nasal aspirator I've tried. The suction is gentle but incredibly effective, and it's easy to control, so I can clear my baby's nose quickly without causing discomfort. The hygiene filters give me peace of mind, and it's simple to clean after each use. If you're debating between this and an electric nose aspirator, I'd choose the NoseFrida every time. It's reliable, effective, and has made sick days much easier for our family. Highly recommend!

Love using this but after a couple times I recommend you toss. I wish they came with the replacements for the red mouth piece part because over time it smells or damages. I usually always buy a new after a couple uses and just keep the blue foam replacements but I wish they came with the mouth replacements as well

This nasal aspirator is an absolute lifesaver for parents dealing with a congested baby. While the concept of using your own suction might seem intimidating at first, it is incredibly effective and entirely hygienic thanks to the disposable filters.

This is the grossest most wonderful thing for baby! It's so much better than those lame sucker-ball nonsense things you get from the hospital. Usually it's one suck with the Nosefrida and I'm done. Where as, I'd have to stick the ball up my daughter's nose several times and just HOPE something comes out and nothing gets stuck or clogged in dumb thing. Nosefrida is easy to clean and it's not like you're getting nasty stuff into your mouth as there is a filter. Think of it as sucking the end of a drink from a straw and that slurpy noise it makes, sort of like that, only you don't get ANYTHING AT ALL into your mouth. I promise! Super gross, super amazing. I really think this thing is a must have! Also, I read some reviews about people with children who hate this. DUH! My daughter hates this too. She hated the sucker-bulb as well. However, I have to stick the nosefrida up her nose a lot less than I would the sucker-bulb. Secondly, there is a trick to sticking it up their nose. My daughter will go to great lengths to avoid her nose having anything done to it. What I do with my 18 month old, and have since the start, is to place her on her back facing away from me with her head between my legs. I place my legs over her arms/shoulders and I hold her body mostly still with my lower half. (I already have the mouth part in my mouth during all of this) I then take one hand and insert (and hold) the nosefrida into her nostril and use my other hand to stabilize her head. It's not the most comfortable position for her, she hates it, but it's not hurting her and it gets the job done. She's always much happier after it's done. This works! However, it's not for the squeamish. Ps. For the one review from the person that was convinced the nosefrida was what caused her to get sick... Please! My 18 month old sneezed right in my face today. She sneezed on her arm and hands, and she even licked my phone (I have no idea why!). It's impossible to keep a child germ free when they are sick (or any other time) and it's impossible to keep them from touching things or snotting on things. The woman got sick, not because of the nosefrida, she got sick because she's in the same household as a sick kid. I don't know about everyone else, but I am not going to go around all day disinfecting every single surface while my child is sick, that would be a waste of my time. If I get sick, it's because I came in contact with boogers, or spit from my child touching or sneezing on something. I still hug and give my daughter kisses when she's sick too. That person is focusing on the wrong thing. The Nosefrida is great! Note: Went on vacation and forgot our nosefrida!! Bought a electronic aspirator at wal-mart... what a joke. Although slightly better than using a sucker-bulb. The noise freaked our daughter out too. (Oh, haha, and it even plays "comforting" music. Pish!)

Es bueno, económico y de calidad. Lo mejor de todo, es que sirve para los oídos también (lo he probado). Para los mocos es bueno y la punta no le hace daño al bebé. Además al ser largo, no llegan nunca los mocos al filtro. En otros a veces pasan los mocos el filtro y te los llegas a casi tragar tu. El único inconveniente es que cuesta un poco limpiar (aunque con una pequeña vaqueta o cepillo de dientes se pueden quitar bien los restos adheridos al interior del tubo.

This is a must for a newborn whenever they have colds it would easily relieved their stuffed nose. Best if you would get the spray too! Very helpful and I wouldn’t forget to bring this everywhere with me. Easy to clean and very convenient to babies and to get it out!

Gerade jetzt in der kalten Jahreszeit haben wir den Nasensauger wirklich oft im Einsatz, vor allem wegen der trockenen Heizungsluft, durch die unser Baby schnell verschleimt ist. Der NoseFrida hat uns in diesen Situationen extrem geholfen. Was mich jedes Mal aufs Neue überrascht es kommt tatsächlich so viel heraus, dass man kaum glauben kann, dass all das in so eine kleine Babynase passt 😂. Genau deshalb merkt man aber auch sofort den Effekt. Nach der Anwendung kann unser Baby deutlich besser trinken und schlafen, weil die Nase wieder frei ist. Ein riesiger Pluspunkt für uns ist, dass unser Baby den Nasensauger sehr gut akzeptiert. Er weint dabei kaum oder sogar gar nicht, was ich niemals erwartet hätte. Die Anwendung ist schnell, effektiv und hygienisch, und man fühlt sich danach einfach erleichtert, weil man seinem Kind sofort helfen konnte. Für uns ist der NoseFrida inzwischen ein fester Bestandteil der Hausapotheke und gerade in der Erkältungszeit absolut unverzichtbar. Ein Produkt, bei dem man sich fragt, wie man vorher ohne ausgekommen ist.
