The one in the picture is a drop in replacement for various applications like my American Standard/Trane condenser. This one will require you to cut off both ends of the through bolts so you can get the label cover on the top and slide the fan up the shaft far enough on the bottom to get the original distance from the grate down to the fan. If you do not get that distance right, you will not get correct airflow through the coils and may experience various issues, like for instance an over heating compressor or inadequate cooling. In my case I had to also cut the shaft off as it would have been hitting the top of the compressor. Are those typical HVAC repair techniques? Yeah, but I was buying this one specifically to drop in and be an exact replacement - not so much. It also has it's own separate capacitor, so there is an extra lead vs. the old one, and you will need to make sure it is mounted in such a way so as not to short out anything. That's not all that complicated either, but again.... not the drop in replacement I had been wanting. On the plus side, it is reversible but that's a bit of a moot point since the one in the picture is not. It also has oil holes so you can oil it whenever you take the top off to clean it - you do take that off at least once a year, right? So it wasn't what was advertised but it was good enough to get going again with some extra work. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Picture is grossly wrong *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2019* I just received the fan motor in the mail and after opening the box, I immediately noticed it looked nothing like advertised Amazon's picture.
