I recently bought this hiking backpack from Amazon, and I’m honestly impressed with how good it is! I've now had this (in size Small) for over a year and taken it on a variety of trips. It's an easy choice for weekend trips, can fit everything you need for a short stay, and the wet compartment is great for dirty clothes and throwing my shampoos and such in without having to worry about if they leak. Love the shoe compartment, too, and the anti-theft pocket made me a lot less worried about having my passport or important small stuff on me. I've also brought this on longer (1 week+ Europe trips) with some careful packing and the expectation that I'll be re-wearing and washing some of my clothing. For heavy packers, it is NOT the right choice, but if you'd prefer to be mobile and know how to pack small and get by with bringing less stuff, it's a great option. Fits overhead on planes, can be stuffed under the seat, and is easy to wear around. I was able to fit it into museum lockers no problem so that I didn't have to find luggage storage while on-the-move and sightseeing. If I want to bring a bit more, I just take a 'personal bag' (purse-sized) as well. It's held up just fine, no issues with the zippers, and I like the color. For the price, this has been absolutely perfect for my travel needs as a light-packer who tends to travel solo and wants to be really mobile without lugging tons of stuff around!

this is surprisingly awesome and roomy, lots of pockets and areas to store stuff! and has a clip to secure the two straps to your shoulders as well. used on a round trip frontier flight and it fit under the seat without issues, even after stuffing it full. they didn't check bag size before boarding though so i can't comment 100% on its compliance, but it was able to fit into a sizer with a bit of nudging before i boarded my first flight. definitely gonna keep using this as my personal item on other flights! can't speak to its durability after one trip but seems high quality enough on the couple days i used it - hopefully nothing breaks. great value when you consider the carry on luggage price is $99 when you could just get this bag for < $30 ! it's cute and i like the design too

Just got back from 5 day trip and had plenty of room. Looks great lots of pack spots and roomy. Great value for the money. Zipper good quality. Seems very durable and straps makes it adjustable if you need to fit under plane seat.

I consider this backpack 4.5 stars, if not a decent 5 stars. Only taking off minimal points for a few areas lacking. So far this backpack has only been used for an international trip. I considered waiting after using it a few more times, but it was well used for its debut trip. For past domestic and international trips, I used a longchamp dupe tote as my personal bag. While it is cute, stylish and quite functional, the hoisting and hauling of heavier electronics, toiletries, airplane necessities, was getting to be a bit much on my back and shoulders. I also had concerns about the weight eventually doing damage to the handles over time. After seeing a review for the bagsmart blast, I thought I would finally give a travel backpack a try. That particular model as of May 2026 was not available via amazon on the bagsmart page, but only through the bagsmart site. And a higher price tag. Doing more research and digging, I narrowed my options to four bags. This was one of them. It's a great size. It can fit underneath the airplane seat in front of you, but if you pack it to the gills, it won't leave much foot space. That may be alright for short flights, but definitely not for long haul or international flights. Even packed to capacity, it for sure fits well in overhead bins on planes. The shape and size fitting in most, if not all, packed overhead bins. As a backpack it will get a pass over any carry-on suitcase. It may not have all the bells and whistles of organization and hidden compartments of a bagsmart blast, but all the pockets served my purposes of organization. The bottom portion to use for shoes or what not, seems to be a waste of space. At least from what I noticed during the trip. Others mentioned this in reviews, so I knew going in I may not have much use for it. If you use it for shoes or clothing, it takes away space in the main compartment to use for packing cubes and other pouches to organize in a more square-like manner. I ended up folding it, but even folded, that's extra fabric getting in the way, if not taking away from space that could be used. However, it provides extra cushion for the bottom of the bag when not in use. I took off a star as it would have been nice to have a space or two with built-in key rings to attach keys when not in use. And there was some loose thread from stitching. Nothing unraveled during the trip, but it is something I'll keep an eye on with future use. The medium provided enough room for a change of clothing, some toiletries, electronics, and airplane necessities. I packed it pretty full, and everything was held in place. All made more secure with the doube compression straps on the sides. Those who are able to pack minimally, could probably make this their carry-on only bag for 2-4 days. If it's for 7 days or longer, and one really wanted to do carry-on only, I personally would get the large or xx-large backpack. However, I prefer not to haul around heavy items throughout airport terminals. A star off as well for the luggage pass through strap. It was a little tight for my carry-on handle. And a little cumbersome getting it on and off the luggage handle. Definitely can't take it off/on with any speed if you're in a hurry. If the backpack were a little less packed, maybe this would have been easier. But not by much. Possibly could have been easier if the pass through strap were half an inch or an inch longer. Or if it were a durable elastic strap. Though elasticity does get worn down over time. Other things to add, would be a way to tuck in the excess straps. Though they weren't dangling as long as I expected them to, so they weren't too intrusive. Another difference between this backpack and the blast is the additional side handle. Wasn't a huge dealbreaker, but occasionally, having the extra handle would have been helpful. I didn't use the side pocket for a water bottle. Though I probably should have as I forgot while going through TSA I packed one away during a connecting flight. But it came in handy on the spot as a light trash receptical for paper goods. Even when the compression straps are in use, it seems it will be fine with a small water bottle. It's not quite big enough for a large, wide water bottle. Maybe the large or xx-large backpacks allow for bigger water bottles in that pocket, but the medium does not. It's a nice looking backpack. No visible logos. Streamlined. A good style for business travel or leisure. I received compliments from airline staff for the backpack look. As a rugged hiking backpack, it would suffice, but I would opt for a different brand or style better suited for camping. This backpack is great for travel. It would also be good for commuting between work, gym, etc. if you needed a change of clothes, supplies, etc. I may not have as much need for it with domestic travel and stick with the longchamp dupe. But I love having this backpack as an option. Especially as a carry-on only option for domestic travel.

Love it! This specific bag is incredibly helpful for day trips with my 3 kids. Many pockets makes organization helpful and the waterproof section is helpful for liquids or soiled items. The grey/blue color is really pretty in person. I originally purchased the teal color and although I loved the color it was not as good quality- the straps were thinner and the actual sturdiness of that one wasn't as strong. Both of the bags are really light weight. Overall such a great and useful product!

Love this backpack! Used on a recent trip. It has so many pocket areas, is lightweight, sturdy zippers, fit great under the seat and I got so much in it (clothes, shoes. makeup, etc ) I actually used an interior pocket to separate my dirty clothes! Love the color too! Great deal!

Love this bag! It has tons of storage space and the color is perfect. I have been able to fit so many things in it and it has held up with durable straps.

After 7 months of use I am really happy with this backpack, it has many useful compartments, it is easy to wash, easy to store and can hold a lot of weight. The only problem I have found has been with its straps and harnesses, in general they feel of poor quality, the plastics are too soft, the buckles do not hold properly so the straps slide. I am not sure I would buy a product from this brand again, I consider the straps and harnesses to be extremely important.
