Does this work on US electrical service or do you need a voltage converter?

We bought a converter just in case but ended up not using it. Works fine when you plug it in the US sockets. It's been 2 months and no issues.

It looks like it just blends the rice. Does it actually seperate the hull from the rice? Into a seperate compartment to despose of hulls into compost?

Yes it separates the hull from the rice into the compartment underneath the basket.

Anyone translate any parts of the manual (or even the front panel) to English?

I did it by with my phone, using the camera mode in Google translate. It worked perfectly.

No. We use ours without converters no problem. Make sure your outlet is working, and it turns on when you lock the lid, not when you plug in.
