Just one word... TANK
This thing is built like a TANK. It could literally beat the frak out of any of the other, 'similar' products on the market...if there where any similar products. Yes, you will find that it can be a little 'busy' with initial setup and maneuvering of the apparatus to whatever you are going to attach it to, but once you have done it the first time, you will appreciate the total versatility and STRENGTH this thing is capable of. I sort of switch it between my mic stand and an iron wrought, glass coffee table, depending on whether I'm playing in my living room or somewhere else. It will fit on almost anything, though it may take a few minutes to figure out the best secure spot. It secured my iPad like Fort Knox does gold. The iPad was easily placed and removed, yet was sturdy and did not flop around or slide like some of the others I have been forced to use. You can adjust the tension of the closest joint to be tighter or looser, depending on if you need to move the iPad (i.e. turn clockwise/counter or swing left/right/up/down), while the other to joints are held secured and rigid. It was easy to put the 'grips' on (I used all "small grips" for my 9.7" iPad 6th Gen, they have large grips as well and any combination should fit your device), though the little 'stoppers' the provide are, tbh, useless; they are not necessary, though. You would really have to move the grips with purposeful, manual force for them to come out of the sliding sockets, while the device is secured in it's grip or even with nothing in the grips. I didn't penalize the manufacturer for this; the 'stoppers' probably work great for someone who does not remove and replace the unit on as many surfaces as I do. I found that it can grip the counter in the kitchen as easily as the light pole in my bedroom. Just need to be careful as this unit's main clamp is METAL. I would suggest using a buffer between the metal and any scratch-able surfaces. I mostly use it to secure my iPad to a mic stand for live playing or recording.

Great Tablet Holder
This product is used for holding an I Pad at my desk and also to mount it in various locations. The clamp is really versatile. It is strong. It can grip a 2" thick square tube down to a thin desk or tube. The positioning arms are articulate, spin, and tilt in all directions so it is easy to position in any way needed. The tablet grip is my only minor complaint. Its design allows for a lot of flexibility but the tabs that hold the tablet can slide out of position or even fall off if you left it in a bag to transport. That could be improved. The nice feature of the tabs is the depth. The can hold a thick tablet in a case with a handle. Overall it is a solid tablet holder and it seems like it will last.

Best Tablet Stand for microphone stand or car or mounting to a table top
I have used many different tablet stands over the years and usually ended up going for the $20 version that looks good but really doesn't work well. I planned to use this tablet holder for a new iPad while playing guitar so I figured I should step up and get something a little more durable and secure. I am thrilled with my purchase and this thing has far exceeded my expectations. You can seriously lock this mount in any position, any angle, the amount of adjustments make it perfect for use anywhere and ridiculously easy to use. Besides attaching to a mic stand we have used this mount in the car (multiple places) and outside where it attached to an end table and held the iPad in the perfect spot for watching some NFL Red Zone. I use this thing daily when playing guitar and besides being easy to use it feels incredibly safe and secure. It holds my iPad in place perfectly yet only takes me 1 second to remove the iPad. It really is that quick and easy. If you have been on the fence about dropping the coin for a good mount take the leap like I did and pick this one up....you will not be disappointed and I am sure it will exceed your expectations like it did mine. I don't think this will ever wear out but if I ever needed another iPad mount I would go right back to this company and get the same one again, it really is that good. Great product, I highly recommend it.

Study, durable, holds well in portrait or landscape mode.
I've used this product for 3 months. Likes: Well designed. Clamp holds firmly to mic stand. Holds tablet (with cover on) equally well in both portrait and landscape mode. Several joints allow for flexible positioning and facing. (Overkill for basic user) Dislikes: Rubber end caps on bracket channel are useless and fall off immediately. Not a big deal. Heavier and more cumbersome to pack than a basic holder. Customer service did not respond to request. Summary: Well designed to be long lasting. Worth the money.

This is the iPad holder I have been looking for!
Wonderful! I have tried so many iPad holders that I was hesitant to try this one, but I am glad I did. The factors that impressed me most are the sturdiness and versatility. Versatility: Clamp can be used on a round shaft like a mike stand or on a flat surface like the edge of a desk. VERY secure clamping action. (Note: if the desk has a beveled edge, it won't work any better than any other clamp - i.e. lousy. The mouth of the clamp is 1.25 inches deep, and opens to a max width of just under 1.75 inches.) 3 articulated joints make possible a good deal of positioning freedom. I mount mine on the second shaft of my mike stand. From the clamp to the last joint is 8 inches, so I can position my iPad well away from under the cross boom holding my microphone. This allows for much easier viewing while performing. Sturdiness: All metal construction except for the portion that clamps the iPad. That, and the fingers that hold the iPad, are made of plastic, but they hold VERY well even when the iPad is still in its case. Since the fingers are 1.25 inches deep, I doubt that there is any iPad case it can't hold. No more removing your iPad from its protective case! Once positioned and tightened, this thing is rock steady. Ease of use: A little tricky getting used to mounting and unmounting the iPad, but worth the effort to figure it out. Pros: Very solid, lots of adjustments/positions possible. enough length to get out from under a mike stand cross boom. The balls and clamps are all metal and should last a long time. Secure hold on just about any tablet/iPad Looks decent - semigloss black paint over metal. Blends in well with black mike stand. Cons: Plate and fingers are made of plastic. Still they seem sturdy enough. Parts, parts, parts, so many parts when you open the package. They give you multiple sets of fingers of different lengths to fit different sized tablets. Summary: Not absolutely perfect, but very close. I'd buy another in a heartbeat. Highly recommended. More expensive than many other models (but consider the cost of your tablet if it gets dropped...)

Fine product, amazing customer service response to an error. Recommended
Our band is digitizing our fake sheets. We have been using notebooks, which are bulky and cumbersome. Moving our fake sheets to a tablet makes performance easier. I ordered this device to clamp to a mic stand and hold a Samsung Galaxy tablet. It was more expensive than some options, but the mounting and adjustments appeared much more substantial. They are indeed, substantial. Very well made. The instructions could be more plainly written, but once you realize they have the terms "height" and "width" mixed up in the first paragraph, they're pretty straightforward. I ruined the first one they sent. Not my fault. I used the screws they provided- but they had accidentally put the wrong hardware into the packet and the screws were too long. As a result, they drove into the inner workings of the cradle. When I contacted the company they were *very* sorry and extremely helpful. They rushed out a new cradle (along with properly sized screws). If you're looking for a way to hold a tablet to a music stand that is rock solid and infinitely adjustable, this product is ideal. You might find something cheaper, but it would be hard to find anything better- and experience shows a lot of us that it's often the cheapest stuff that costs the most in the end.

Great product, but need it repaired.
I purchased this item in 2021 to hold my Ipad. My Ipad has a protective case requiring the 4 extended grasp arms be 3 inches long. The product has been great, until today, 5 years later. One of the 3 inch arm extensions snapped off. Can I get a replacement part? Jim

Very sturdy
I didn't end up using this for the project I got it for but I kept this because it's so strong. It's hard to see in the photos but the connections are not like regular ball joints you see in small magic arms that you have to crank down to keep them from moving. The joints on this one are toothed. You put it in the position you want and the teeth on each section engage with each other so you get no movement and less screw-down pressure is needed to keep it in place. Nice design.

Love it
Super sturdy! Feel totally confident leaving an expensive tablet in this holder.

finally, a tablet holder that no-kidding securely holds a table in ANY protective case
pros: -all of the clamping/swiveling components are metal, well made and appear dependable, the two ball joints are very good, as long as the ridged plates in the middle section of the arm don't wear down it should be fine, but realistically, even if they did I think a rubber washer might solve any slippage even if it happened. -clips to hold tablets and computers while plastic (Delrin?) look robust and work well. I don't expect breakage to be an issue. -clips allow for very thick protective cases, I have an Otterbox defender on mine, the clips would accommodate a case much thicker. (which is typically the problem with tablet holders) - infinite adjustments mean you can use this on a vertical pole under a microphone, on an angled boom or desktop - I'd trust the security of this 100 feet in the air. solid cons: -a little expensive but better long term value i think -if you went from a cell phone to a tablet/computer you'd need to change the arms, easy to do if but you need to keep the spare arms and it'd take a couple minutes each time -(I'm not swapping devices, so it's a non issue for me) -not really designed to fold up compactly without SOME fiddling, -- maybe a minute or two (but I could make it fit in my mic stand case)

Great
I upgraded my iPad to the iPad Pro 11 with a protective case and this works beautifully. I really like the versatile adjustable clamp and it seems very sturdy

Rubber stoppers to hold arms will fall out the first time you use it.
I don't recommend buying this product. As you can see the rubber stoppers on the left side that hold the arms in fell out the first time I used it. The rubber stoppers are a major design flaw. The rubber stoppers are just pushed in by hand but they do not grip well and just fall out very easily.
