(This review is specifically about the Titanium White.) I love this paint. It is heavily pigmented, has a thick consistency and is lovely to work with. It is made with safflower oil rather than linseed oil because safflower oil will not yellow much with age. Note that yellowing really only matters for white paint. With almost any other color, a bit of yellowing won't be noticeable. You probably already know that the "Winton" line is the student (budget) grade paint, and that W&N Artist grade paint is twice the price. But I'm going to explain why in this particular case (Titanium White) the Winton paint may be the better choice. On W&N's website there are two pages that list the pigments, vehicle oils and other properties of each of their paints, one page for the Artist paint and the other for the Winton paint. I can't put a link here, but if you search "winsor and newton composition winton oil colour" you'll get it. If you compare between the Winton and the Artist paint tables, you'll see that the Titanium White is identical in both tables. Paint makers will substitute cheaper pigments for their student paint grades, but there really isn't anything else that can be substituted for titanium dioxide. And it's not a very expensive pigment anyway, titanium dioxide is a common ingredient in house paint. So you get the same stuff in either product line. Bottom line: I usually buy artist grade paint. But in this case this Winton grade is made with the same ingredients. My informal testing indicates that the pigment load is high. And it's got great working properties. So - what incremental benefit will I get by spending twice as much on the W&N Artist grade Titanium White?
