When I got my guinea pig, he was very picky and didn't like any brand of hay until I got this. I have had 9 other guinea pigs over the years, and I wish I had been able to use this hay for them too. It has been consistently much higher quality than what I used to buy at the pet store. There have been occasional boxes with a little bit of brown or drier hay, but it is usually very green and smells fresh. I haven't had issues with finding other things in the hay either which can sometimes be an issue with a natural product like this (bits of animal, rope, etc).
