It seems to be difficult to find both features in any current model. This model has higher wattage but blows straight upward through a central vent. Despite that, many people report that it works fairly well as a roaster. Myself, I have a 1200 watt model with circular vents. I have had fantastic results with it. Don't listen to people who say you can't get good results unless you have 1350 watts or more - it's not true. I never roast darker than full city. If you like a really dark roast with oils coming to the surface then a lower wattage model might struggle with that and this model might be better for you. For most everyone else I would really recommend a circular popper for better results. **Q: Is it BPA free** A: I'm not sure about the plastic chute, but the inside of the container is metal. This is where the heating occurs and popcorn is placed. I'm assuming that the only area that is plastic and may contain BPA is the plastic top, but the popcorn only touches it for a brief second as it descends the chute into your bowl. I'm sure there is very little exposure to BPA if the plastic even contains it. No tiene botón de encendido/apagado. Hay que conectarla y desconectarla directamente de la corriente, lo cual es muy incómodo. Alternativamente, hay que usar un adaptador con interruptor. Almost no unpopped kernels, each piece crisp and fluffy and in just a couple of minutes. It’s to easy to use and clean. The butter well with handle is perfect as a cover for the top and it melts fat rapidly. I use virgin coconut oil which is harder to melt but it worked perfectly. It’s just really well designed for ease of use and very compact so it takes very little space on the counter.I will caution that the handle of the butter well gets really hot and maybe use a dishcloth or other barrier when lifint it or you may get a hot oil burn.Depending on how much you eat, this easily serves two to four people.I highly recommend this product, but we’ll see how long it lasts - appliances wear out so rapidly these days. Pops almost every kernel without too many flying, stray kernels making you question if you should be wearing safety goggles. No overheating smells. Yes, the lid gets hot as I saw in a couple remarks. They all do. The measuring cups at the top also doubles for melting your butter if you choose. (We melt out separately). Don’t waste your money on the cheaper models out there.
