Are these chewy or crunchy? Do they last a bit or is it one of those 'one bite and it's gone' type treats?

1-2 bites for a dog of 25-30 lb. this is a treat that is light and airy but crunchy. Sort of like a circus peanut candy in texture.

Can anyone tell me approximately how many mussels are in this package?

There are about 12-15 K9 Natural Green Mussels per pack. - The K9 Natural Team

Are these heat treated?

Hi there, no the mussels are not heat treated, they are freeze-dried. For more information on the freeze drying process you may find our blog interesting: https://www.k9natural.com/what-is-freeze-dried/ - The K9 Natural Team.

How many mg of iron per treat?

Hi Cheryl, Thank you for your enquiry! We do not test the mussels for iron as they are intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only. However, New Zealand maintains a food composition database on the typical nutritional value of foods produced in this region. Based on their data, New Zealand Green Mussels contain approximately 0.9 mg of iron per medium size (5g) mussel treat. Warm regards The team at K9 Natural
