This sunscreen has a great lightweight texture, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave a greasy or sticky feeling like a lot of SPF 50s do. It has ginseng extract and panthenol, which keep my skin moisturized while it protects. Works well on both face and body, and layers nicely under makeup. Am glad to try a hybrid formula -as was hoping maybe this would provide superior protection (and ingredient stability in sun) vs chemical-only sunscreens without the whitening effect of mineral-only products. However, the sun protection with this seemed less, and it did not seem to be less whitening than my 20% zinc sunscreen (both eventually lose the whitening effect after a few minutes though). It smells like the common chemical sunscreens (not bad, but familiarly associated with such). However, the one issue that makes this s no-go for me is that it pills terribly on my skin (see photos). This occurs within an hour, looks obvious and and makes it impossible to apply make-up. The only thing under this is my serum that I let absorb onto my skin for at least 30 minutes before applying this sunscreen, but I still can't rule out non-compatibility with my serum. I gave this 3 stars as it is good to have a "hybrid" sunscreen with SPF50 as an option (for best of both with less of the toxic chemical sunscreen applied) and the inactive ingredients are very good (see photo) - and if you don't use skin serum under this, perhaps it will not pill as badly.

I’ve been searching for the perfect sunscreen for myself for a long time, and this one comes pretty close. What I like about this sunscreen is that its hybrid formula truly captures the best of both types, chemical and mineral. On one hand, it doesn't contain ingredients like oxybenzone or avobenzone; on the other, it leaves the skin hydrated rather than dry, as mineral sunscreens often tend to do. It strikes the perfect balance. Plus, it doesn't leave any white cast upon application; instead, it absorbs very well. Another important thing for me is that is safe for coral reefs. The reason for my four-star rating is that I wish the texture were just a little bit lighter. However, I would definitely recommend giving it a try! And I will buy it again for sure.
