This 18,000 BTU rooftop air conditioner has exceeded my expectations. The variable-speed compressor makes a noticeable difference by keeping the temperature more consistent while running much quieter than traditional on-and-off RV air conditioners. Once it reaches the desired temperature, it ramps down instead of constantly cycling, which makes the camper much more comfortable. Cooling performance is excellent, even during very hot days, and the airflow is strong enough to move air throughout the RV’s duct system. The unit also starts smoothly without the loud compressor surge that many older rooftop units have. The overall build quality feels solid, and installation was straightforward on a standard RV roof opening. The modern design and R32 refrigerant are nice additions, and the unit operates efficiently while providing plenty of cooling capacity. Overall, this is an outstanding upgrade for anyone replacing an older rooftop A/C. Once you get all the parts it works great but it won't work until you get the inside which is your control if Amazon doesn't have the control for a docked system you should tell the buyer it took my almost two weeks to find one not very happy having to wait that long to get ac in my trailer worki g in the heat this unit should be sold with both parts and not separate

I've had this AC installed for about a year now. I've got a Jayco Jayfeather 26RL with central ducting. I have it in open sun and when it's 90F outside the camper can maintain around 72F! Great unit and it's not costing more than a couple dollars extra in energy compared to the factory 15k BTU unit. The old unit could only keep the camper around 82F in the same conditions. The only complaint I have is the remote. It has the follow me function but it doesn't work around walls. I really wish I could control this unit with the factory panel and Bluetooth connection or even a standalone app through either wifi or Bluetooth. That would make it 5 stars. However it's not terrible to set the unit from the remote or panel. It's just slightly inconvenient when I'm in a climate that changes temp 40 degrees from evening to morning. It would be nice to not have to get up and turn it off. My situation is I work away from home and I work long hours so I need to get every bit of the 5 to 6 hours of sleep I can get. This thing is really nice though and I do recommend it.

Replaced 15000btu Dominic and was able to eliminate a lot of unnecessary wires. I installed the unit in about 1.5 hours, very easy. Super quiet and cools 36ft very well.
